The Pressure of Young Players?

I think we take out of prespective when we actually realize how young some of these players really are. I mean take De Gea, he made a goalkeeping error against WBA, and was smacked by the media and the amount of noise in their stadium rose when they had the ball to just shoot at him from anywhere.

But then i reloook the situation. Hes 20, just 20 playing for United. thats still considered a teenager, thats amazing.

I think the amount of money and pressure put into young people is wrong. U cant attack them for still learning. Anyway after the performace yesterday, SAF gave him a pat on his head and said welcome to the EPL, ull get better. And he handled that perfectly.

Another being the brazil young ones, starting and holding the pride of the best international team in history, thats a lot of pressure and i dont know if people ever realize the age of these players in prespepctive.

Shakhtar lives and dies on the shoulders of the arrival ridiculously young Brazilians, many of whom have never set foot in Europe in their lives, so I get what you're saying.

It's just a part of the modern-day game, I guess.

I agree to an extent. I think the biggest problem is that people are ready to call them "The next _____."

Krasic = Nedved.
Messi = Maradona.
Chicharito = Hugo Sanchez.
Neymar = Pele.
Santon = Maldini.
Piazon = Kaka.

I feel like it is disrespectful to the legends, but it also screws up the mentality of the youngsters by either making them cocky and arrogant, or having them fail due to not living up to their name.
