Tossed up between Arsenal v United...
I don't know who I want to win.
I'd gladly take a 0-0 draw with a red card to Arsenal and RvP missing a penalty tbh.

Yeah a draw between Arsenal and the Mancs is the best result for us. Cmon Moyes don't you dare lose tomorrow.
More importantly though, it's imperative Newcastle get something off of Spurs.

Newcastle have pretty much finished their season. Safe from relegation, no chance of them getting Europe, they're quite content. Doubt they'll turn up against Spurs. lol
I'd like to Arsenal lose, but I don't want United to win.

I'd imagine Newcastle want to stop their slide, though. Pardew especially, he'll try to motivate the players because it looks bad on him if they lose again. They've won just once in the last 7 games and that win is the only game where they've scored in those 7 matches, which is pretty depressing for them in itself. I'm quite hopeful that Newcastle get a result against Tottenham.

Re: Rival thread
Newcastle are on 37 points and ManUtd are on 41 and if they lose today against Arsenal, it will be good motivation to close the gap on them and to push them higher. We have already seen Newcastle giving difficult time to all big teams visiting their home, so I really really hope, that they take a point at least from this game.
Crystal Palace, i think Pulis can outperform Martinez, we might see a surprise there, this week might prove very good to us in case we win off course.

Mate why are we talking about an Arsenal win so that ONE MEDIOCRE team can close the gap with another MEDIOCRE team!!!

No just saying, that Newcastle's point of view should be that they should finish ahead of Manutd, so they should be motivated to take points from Spurs today

Re: Rival thread
Newcastle are finished for the season. They're nothing special without Cabaye. And they have nothing to play for right now. They're safe from relegation, and they're not playing Europe. They're going to keep playing with half-arsed performances.

Just pointing it out, we cant think spurs at home is going to be easy, they are the best away form team in the comp.

After destroying Everton and Arsenal the way we did at home, I really see no reason to be at all afraid of anything Spurs have to offer.

We're the same amount of points if you consider our GD, we're not closer by any means.

Re: Rival thread
Arsenal's and United's goalless draw was a sweet result for us.
I am getting a little worried about Tottenham, they've found some stability and have lost only once in the last 10. They will play us, Chelsea and Arsenal in March, but their final six games look easy on paper.

Re: Rival thread
Arsenal/United game had a win-win-win situation regardless of the result tbh.
Spurs will continue to grind out results. They had a slow start and were in a "crisis" because they had 7-8 new signings... it takes time for players to bed in.

I not really following spurs that greatly, isn't all this new form(if we can really call it that, we've hardly been that far away from them) coming off the back of a lot of Adegoals and dropping penaldo.

Re: Rival thread
They've shown after 26 games now that they're the biggest threat to stealing that top 4 spot from us. Everton did too, but they've drawn far too many games. Although to their credit, they've become hard too beat. (That 4-0 win over them though. )
Everyone's had their minds on United and they're 10 points behind.
Spurs, after all their dumpings, 5-0, 6-1, 4-0 or whatever the other result was, has really made people underrate them. They're getting "must win" games under their belt, you just have to look at their consistency against the smaller sides / away form. If they can improve their home form, they'll be up there. But they'll need us / another team above us to fall due to their slow start of the season before someone twists my words.
