Dimitar Berbatov: Top 5 strikers in the world?

For years now, Dimitar Berbatov has been dazzling the world stage. Time and time again he has proved his unique ability which makes him stand out.

Unlike players such as Torres and Tevez, he does not simply rely on tap-ins. His goals are of the highest quality.

In my opinion, he is clearly within the top 5 strikers in the world. Do you agree with me?

not even chicharito,who benched him, is considered a top 5 striker.Kind of hard when you have the likes of tevez,eto,rvp,villa,benz,messi etc

his technical ability for a big man is outstanding....only Ibrahimovic has the kind of feet he does with that kinda size

I must disagree with your list in several ways.

Firstly, Ronaldo and Messi are clearly not out and out strikers. To class them as so displays a lack of football knowledge.

As I previously stated, the likes of Tevez cannot be classed above Berbatov as they rely purely on tap-ins. Van Perise is hugely overrated and with the exception of a couple of wonderstrikers, he is also essentially a tap-in merchant. Benzema is simply a pure tap-in merchant, he cannot produce anything else.

As for Suarez, only a deluded scouse would place him anywhere near the top 20, never mind placing him within the top 10.

I believe that with this, I have provided factual evidence as to why Dimitar Berbatov should be inside the top 10.

Messi plays in a false 9 role, where he constantly drifts out wide, while Ronaldo is a winger. I suggest you watch both individuals before placing them in a certain position.

Hernandez is an excellent poacher and what sets him out for others is his ability to play with anyone behind him; however he is clearly an inferior overall striker to Berbatov.
