Has there ever been a better midfield??

If Cesc becomes official...we'll have an absolutely scintillating midfield. Even depthwise... the bane of Barca, we are absolutely brilliant. I ask, genuinely, have there ever been comparative midfields?

Javier Mascherano - #2 DM in the world.
Xavi Hernandez - # 1 CM in the world.
Andres Iniesta - #2 CM in the world.
Cesc Fabregas - #3 CM in the world (debatable I know).
Thiago Alcantara - #1 U21 CM in the world.

These are my opinions... I don't really care for arguments on that. I just want to let people know how bloody good this team is. And has there ever been anything like it?

Sorry, if you can't discuss the issue at hand then I won't bother with you. I already said I was simply stating my opinion on how they were ranked for illustration of the fact that they're all world class.

No, never has then been a better midfield anywhere, let alone just Barca.

But you could make that arguement last season too, though not depth wise for sure.
