The Players You Thought Were Mr. X

Over the course of the Summer, I have assigned Mr. X's identity to many different players. I know I'm not the only person here who has cast such speculation, believing myself to be a 'mercato insider' of sorts, able to read Galliani's mind from thousands of miles away

Who did you think Mr. X was weeks ago? Who do you think he is now? Let's all share, and then we can look back at all the names we have been linked with when the mystery player does arrive.

This is not a thread to state who you want, but to state who you thought management would bring in

I never considered Kaka, Schweinsteiger or Bale, although Modric, Ganso, Fabregas and Nasri came into consideration for me.

Modric, Ganso, Kranjcar, Montolivo, Honda

Never thought for one second we were getting Fabregas, Nasri, Bale, or Hamsik.

Who I believed,and continue to believe,is either kaka or cesc,or both.

Ganso, Montilivo, or kaka. The rest was always dreamland in my mind.

At first ,when Mister.X arrived on the scene, my mind got immediately to Ganso...then Kaka , after him Montolivo , no doubt.

now .. i am just confused ! If i had to vote , i would go for Kaka ,that's for sure.

I believed it was Ganso. Now I'm totally confused.

I like to believe Mr X is Bastian, then we get Poli, and Monty.

I thought and still think galliani had ganso as Mr X,but now he has changed plans since ganso isnt leaving until Jan.

Either montolivo or aquilani are mr x atm if you ask me...

most probably.. That "X" though , could indicate anyone..we can only guess , until late August..

Schweinsteiger would be a great addition to the Milan squad. Not only is he perfect in Defensive Midfield, but he can also slot in as a deep-lying play-maker if needed! Plus, he can play as a winger (his original position). I'm sure Bayern wouldn't let him go though..BUT I personally would surely love to have him at Milan!

Pastore: I reckon we followed him earlier last season but lost interest with his price
Bale: Never believed for one moment that Milan were seriously wanted him
Schweinsteiger: I reckon Milan will only go for Bastian if his relationship with Bayern goes sour or just wants to leave, then I think we'll move for him
Hamsik: I believe Milan genuinely wanted Hamsik, Allegri said so himself that he is his perfect player or something
Kaka: I think Milan are still interested in Kaka

We have as much chance of getting Ronaldo than getting Schweinstniger. No way Bayern is going to sell him. Fabregas on the other if the deal to Barcelona breaks down (for the 23417th time) then things could get interesting...

always: FABREGAS,but at the end it would be Kaka...

I thought X was Nasri, then Schweinie .... now I have lowered my expectations and would welcome anyone that can contribute on the left side

Lol same here,I had high expectations for a world class player,but now any good midfielder would do

sad but true Ganso... the Ibr and Binho coups' are behind us I believe

the squad itself is only short one decent player and our mid is the weak link ATM

better off not making promises owners cant keep!!!

nevertheless we have got good players in defense, but if aquilani was to arrive in milan, this is very hurting because we just got poor player, and pirlo was so much better.

aquilani has become a mediocre player and he simply isnt a milan quality player. just when we have troubles getting rid of mediocre players from payroll, its just upsetting to hear another one is joining us.

this will hurt us in long term. if we were to sign potentially talented midfielder in january or next term, we will find enormously difficult to get rid of aquilani. i hear that milan wants him on loan, but aquilani wants permanent deal....i hope at worst, its only loan deal.

I believed mister X to be Ganso, but after each passing day it seems less likely..

I thought it was either Bale, Kaka or Ganso.
Bale I figured Berlu fell in love with what he did against Inter

Ganso because he is Brazilian and all of our players had been talking about getting him

And Kaka because I figured we need an AMF, and he is a fan fovorite

for a moment i actually thought we'd get one of the following, fabregas, pastore or hamsik but it looks like we're gonna end up with a juve, roma and liverpool reject!!, epic fail......


letting pirlo go was very stupid mistake if aquilani is to fill his shoes.....

I don't think Mr. X is Aquilani, I think he is Mr. Z. For me Mr. X is Kaka
