Even if Gibbs goes on drugs and becomes WC, we still need a backup LB.

Nasri is expected to travel with the squad this weekend as Arsenal fly out to Malaysia at the start of their tour of Asia however Fabregas has a muscular injury and is likely to be left behind.
Emmanuel Eboue (calf) is an injury doubt.
“We will take the strongest possible squad,” said Wenger. “Fabregas will not travel because he still has a small muscular problem. He will stay and practice here. There is a doubt about Eboue who has done his calf.”
Arsenal.com hope to publish the full travelling party on Saturday afternoon.

Henri Lansbury doubtful to play tonight. He's been training with the U18's along with Craig Eastmond, as they're both injured.
Probably the reason why Lansbury didn't go to Asia, either that or the holidays.

Pray this thread is inactive in the season
C'mon sam we all know that's impossible... We will need something short of a miracle for that to happen like for instance Wegner actually spending some considerable money this transfer window...
Ahh ok we probably have a better chance of staying injury free...
Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread

Wenger on Cesc
“We will have to see how far he is with his injury,” said Wenger. “Normally, yes [he will go]. ( To the training camp in Germany )
“He is not back in full training. He is back running on the pitch and the next step is to be back in full training. I will have to assess him on Monday.”

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
Wenger on injuries today:
"Samir got a kick to his ankle, Gervinho got a kick on his knee but both have minor damage.
The only sad thing today is the injury to Conor Henderson, it looks quite bad but let us hope that we have good news tomorrow morning. He twisted his knee, I don’t know how big the damage is but the first signs don’t look too encouraging."

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
“Theo went home early and was due to have an MRI on Tuesday,” said Wenger. “It is an old ankle injury from the end of last season. It’s one that comes and goes.
“We need some more investigation because sometimes he’s completely free of it and sometimes it affects him. But we had to send him back because he couldn’t practice anymore.”
HERE WE GO AGAIN !!!!!!

Re: The Arsenal Injury Thread
Conor Henderson is expected to be out for a minimum of six months after damaging his cruciate ligaments.
The 19-year-old midfielder twisted his knee in the final seconds of the 2-1 win over Cologne on Saturday and was stretchered off. The Irishman flew home that night for tests and, unfortunately, they revealed a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
“Conor has a knee injury and it looks as if it is a cruciate,” Arsène Wenger told Arsenal.com. “That means unfortunately that he will be out for six months at the very least.”
