Impressive stats. Xavi has close to 2000 more passes than the one who is closest to him Laughing

I'd be interested to see the games or minutes played alongside these to see how close Iniesta would be given the time he has missed over the past two seasons to injury, I'd expect it to bring him up to second though Xavi would still have a significant lead.

On a personal note I'm glad to see Montolivo there, but I'm still wide-eyed at Masiello's presence.

What is telling is the absence of any of the top midfielders from the PL.

I first thought, no Arsenal players?

Then I remembered how injury prone they are and how many games they missed.

No Cesc? Isn't he the closest thing to Xavi?

Most interesting fact is that there are only 2 players from the PL, one of them a CB that probably made most of his passes without pressure.

Kick&run for real.

United's midfield experiences heavy rotation so I'm not surprised that they aren't in the list though I'd be interested to see where Carrick features.

Not really, one is a forward, the other one a midfielder. I think that we arleady guessed that Messi was the forward that completes more passes.

Makes sense considering Messi is a forward and Ferguson is a midfielder.

Barca has 6 of the top 20, and the top passer for every position (except GK, which I suspect Valdes might actually be). That is just simply ridiculous, regardless of how pass-intensive Barca's style is.
