If Cech keeps this form up, I can see it happening.

To be fair, the majority of the goals can be blamed on the defenders. You can't expect Cech to save point blank shots right after a set piece marking disaster. That said, though I feel a bit guilty saying this, I think this can pave way for Courtois to start next season

He hasn't been as commanding in recent weeks and has made mistakes too.

Reading those quotes, I really don't get a picture of someone who's all that wholeheartedly eager to and enthusiastic about playing for Chelsea.

He just wants to play and that is fair enough to him. Also, why would he be, he has never worn the shirt?

Yea but even still, most players in his situation at least make the effort to trot out the "I'm just being patient, trying to earn my place, want to play first team football so I can impress the manager, etc." line. He just basically says, 'meh. I'm too good to sit on the bench. I'll take my time deciding what I want to do. If the club want to sell me whatever." etc. etc.


Mind you, this sort of self-importance seems to be quite common among the Belgians at the club. Does my nut in.

I think it's different when it's somebody who is arguably top 5 in the world in their position. He is far too good for any bench and should be playing week in week out. He's going to want to keep getting better and nail that #1 spot in the NT before the world cup.
