Re: La Liga 2023/24
Woot, Ateltico smashed Real for once Lots of issues for Real.... I didnt understand taking off Modric at HT... looks like the new MFs are still unable to replace him, even with Kroos in there Tucho looks very limited at times, so does Cama with is strange, they dont seem to be able to control n ditate the games at all, no need to even mention Fede No Cavarjal to help either, so hence Real still relying heavily on the old guards. The new LB is too attacking, so Ateltico were happy all game playing behind Real on the wings. It was just disaster for Real
Where are all the Real fans, all in hiding it seems now

Re: La Liga 2023/24
I think Bellingham has anger issues, gets really heated when things arent going his way, almost got red carded last night luckily for him he pulled back at the last second

Re: La Liga 2023/24
I haven't read the article, but when it comes to Atletico Madrid specifically, I've been wondering for a decade now how they keep getting away with their cynical, rugby-like approach to football. A lot of people herald Diego Simeone as some type of working class hero, but I genuinely do think that a large part of his success is directly related to his team benefiting from what I perceive as a certain level of leeway based on the understanding that it's their unique style of play and so a different standard of officiating should be applied to them.
They're a modern, rich man's Stoke City. They have a higher status in football than Stoke does, and they're the closest challenger to Barca and RM, and this is pure speculation, but it would not surprise me if referees feel that Atletico have earned their liberties through being able to put up a title challenge for so long. In the grander scheme of things, Atletico's success is beneficial to La Liga, even if they are associated with different sports

Thats an intriguing thesis statement. I'm inclined to agree and I'd like to read that research paper if you have enough free time to write it.
I think that could be the case with some other teams too, depending on what aura they exude. Definitely there are teams (or individual players) who are allowed to play rougher because "that's just what they do".

Re: La Liga 2023/24
I have no free time these days It's school-work-sleep. Rinse and repeat. I typically come on here while I'm eating, waiting for something, or taking the train to my school.
I do make time for football, but other than that, I barely have time for anything these days. I've got 2 years left of my programming course.

Always trying to deflect This is the official channel clearly creating pressure for future decisions to sway their way. The club should be fined for this
This is absolutely institutionally embarrassing for RM, obviously they don't mention the Boilingham tackle and other iffy RM decisions. There's no way it goes out on the official channel without Perez approval, this guy is senile and it shows in his squad building failures too while trying to pursue Mboopz

What in the actual fuck have Mallorca done with the pitch. There's so much water the ball is hardly even rolling

Yamal is a proper winger. Breezes past defenders with such ease.

Re: La Liga 2023/24
Yamal has great potential n is a very good option for us, but lets be clear, it was a dive lol... n he fell over himself due to spinning too much around defenders once there
Raphinha showed again why hes been there for us, basically last season was behind Dembele n Lewand being our only decent attackers. Ferran compared with Lewand continues to hurt my eyes... I guess Xavi didnt have options but I would prefer seeing Gavi on LW or something instead of this piece of shit Ferran ffs...
Inigo looked awful, but first match only I think so will need to see more of him first... Ter Stegen mistake... but yea this was bad, its freakin Mallorca, one of the worst teams in the league always, n its 2 points dropped, just awful. Hope Xavi learns his lesson n dont rest players until we absolutely have to... since our backup is so bad... oh n Romeu has fallen off a cliff, play someone else instead, hes suppose to be the bite in our MF but lately he cant even offer that, so hes next to useless?

Re: La Liga 2023/24
It wasnt a dive really. There was contact. Not violent but enough to tip Yamal off balance. The commentators said it was 100% a penalty too. Yamal rushed into the box with great speed and the tackle threw him off, on top of all the water that they sprayed on the pitch so that we couldn't pass the ball around.
I swear Spanish teams are the worst, absolute cunts.
Romeu was useless from the beginning. Defensive output was supposed to be his strength but here I am wishing for Busquets to come back. We've conceded a lot of goals already and he can't circulate the ball at all

Mallorca are a tough team to play against. Their coach is the one that shouted at his players to "break him" (Vini) last season. The lowest of the low

If Tebas starts working that thing between his shoulders anytime soon he will quickly realise why EPL is so far ahead of LaLiga in terms of product marketing because the football is sure as hell not better neither is the competition if we are completely honest with ourselves

Las Palmas have been pretty dissapointing so far this season. Pretty poor on the ball.
Alaba injured, could be a blessing in disguise after his defensive masterclass on Sunday

Re: La Liga 2023/24
I've been surprised at the amazing start Girona have had to this season. Who'd thought they'd be top of the league at the end of September. I hope they can keep up their form and possibly win the league, since it'd be nice to have an underdog team win the league and end the Barcelona/Real Madrid dominance.
As for Real Madrid, Bellingham is smashing it at the moment in La Liga. He's in amazing form and is only going to become even more world class from here onwards. Southgate needs to build the England Euro 2024 team around him, IMO.

If this was Serie A, Barca would be in Segunda right now but with this corrupt league it isn't even making the news.
