Re: World Cup 2022 - Group E
Think there been a lot of praise for Luis Enrique after that big win recently n in general for his work with the NT but man if they crash out like this pretty sure it will be a huge hit on his reputation? Honestly think Spain deserve to not go through even more so than Germany...

Re: World Cup 2022 - Group E
Very strange becos if Germany really went for it all out from the start n had more luck it really could be a huge scoreline like 9-2 or something enough to make up the goal difference?

What an achievement by Japan ffs. Could they upset Croatia next n face Brazil in the QF?
Spain prolly face CR in the other QF then?

Lol, I missed it. I stepped out for 10 minutes thinking it was still half time. Walked back in as Japan got 2nd. Good news we avoid Brasil, but I doubt if we are good enough to go far. I don’t like to criticize Enrique, but he should have taken Ramos, that alone would have made the difference in both Germany and Japan games.

Over the three games though, what do u think of their performances? First game even Ferran looked like Ballon D'or level XD But the other two games they were mediocre at best, Germany really came back into it vs them...
I guess doesnt matter too much, they gonna get beat by old CR prolly if they manage to reach the QF

They've too many weak links. Pedri and Gavi arent gonna carry a team to a WC final, they're kids. Ferran, Busquets are obvious weak links, Olmo is decent on a good day as well as Williams, but they're nothing special either. Morata scores here and there but he's meh. They're just average overall and many levels below the Spain of 10 years ago, but they deserved to at least advance from the group imo
this goal shouldn't have stood

Oh come on, 95% the teams going through are LGBT and women rights pro while most Muslim and African teams are/will be knocked out so stop embarrassing yourselves. Give it a rest or take it to the political thread so I do not need to read this backward religion enforced drivel of cultures when I open a football thread.

Re: World Cup 2022 - Group E
Germany's cultural and political shift in the last 20 years has been an interesting sight because it's reflected in the kinds of footballers they produce.
They used to have mean-looking professionals like Klose and Schweinsteiger. If you go the teams before that you had terminators Kahn and Ballack. They looked like they reek of toxic masculinity. They fought for every inch of grass with their life.
Now you have guys like Havertz and Kimmich who look like they should be on tik tok instead. They look like pretty boys who went to private schools their entire life. Germany have lost their fear factor.
