No , it’s after all three games played that Spain has 9 points and all the rest have 3. Germany advances on GD.

Re: World Cup 2022 - Group E
Yes, if Germany beat Spain tonight all 4 teams will be level on points. Germany will have the easiest way to advance in that case with the last game against Costa Rica whereas Japan may spring a surprise on Spain and advance over them. It was very important for Spain to rack up the numbers against Costa Rica because if all teams finish level on points Spain will advance as group winnersfutbol_bill wrote:No , it’s after all three games played that Spain has 9 points and all the rest have 3. Do or die for Germany vs Spain today. Feels like the knock outs got here early

All depends on which teams show up today for both countries! I still say both make it thru. España as 1st and Germany on GF.

Good game. Nobody really dominating. Germany probably need a striker. Musiala has been excellent, bossed the midfield

Spain could probably be favourites for this tournament if they had someone better than Ferran Torres

Nah, they have a very weak midfield. They can rely on their tactical fouls until a certain point when its time for someone to miss games. Their frontline is bad. Asensio, Torres aren't good. Olmo has a few turnovers in him but he's probably best of the lot in the whole team.

Re: World Cup 2022 - Group E
they play well as a team... good energy, compact, tactically drilled. The best i've seen out of all teams so far, granted i didn't watch Brazil yet.
they just need a David Villa upfront

Someone better than Ferran Torres would definitely help out this team.

Spain play like a club team. I guess that's why Lucho is insistent on starting Barca players since they already understand his system as it's similar to Xavi's. They lack forward quality, and I'm not the biggest fan of two teenagers and a grandpa as a midfield.

Musiala reminds me of peak Pogba, just much more industrious and hopefully a more disciplined, humble head on his shoulders

Re: World Cup 2022 - Group E
Musiala running the show from start to finish. What a player!
Sane added much needed penetration, but how the f do you not shoot at the end, it's your freaking left
Germany will deffo beat CR so Japan basically have to beat Spain to go through

Spain missed the chance to eliminate Germany now watch the Germans go farther than them in this tournament

Re: World Cup 2022 - Group E
Both teams played better after an actual centre forward got on the pitch. Its better to have a half decent centre forward than a false 9. Also Ferran and Asensio were dire, Dani Olmo looked pretty good.

Re: World Cup 2022 - Group E
Brain dead decision making from Sané at the end. That being said his introduction completely changed the game for Germany. I know he hasn’t been playing because of knee problems but he needs to start against Costa Rica.
I don’t know why Germany veers away from their footballing culture so much. You aren’t Spain. Play your strikers, outlets, and use physical midfielders. That’s their heritage ffs.

Re: World Cup 2022 - Group E
Phew . At lesast we still will go thru in 1st, Germany will be second.
They will play Croatia, Belgium or Morroco. I think both advance again.
But clear there are no more soft games.

I wouldn't count out Japan tbh. They are quite a good team when they are the underdogs. I still don't think they'll get a win though. At most maybe a draw
