No idea why Chavi keeps counting on Busquets. We play much better without him

Betis has been crazy dangerous from set pieces tho

Like clockwork.

Genius Chavi brings on Busquets and Ferran at 1-0 and we now have extra time. Once Frenkie was subbed off entire midfield fell apart, Busquets is like a ghost everyone runs past him like he's a wet dog

Betis shat the bed in penalties. To my surprise, we were fantastic in the shootout where we usually arent that great in this mental warfare.

Poor subs from Xavi made this game go all the way to pens, this is all on him IMO, shouldnt make such braindead subs at only 1-0 which is a very thin lead especially with Betis constantly creating danger

Unlucky Betis. They were great. Could probably have won if they had a better keeper

[COPE] Barcelona denounces LaLiga for preventing them from increasing the wage bill by 15%. They believe they cannot compete "on equal terms" with the rest of the LaLiga teams. The clubs that signed with CVC can increase it by 15%

This is why the Super League needs to happen. Tebas is a terrorist, different rules for different clubs just because we havent signed his stupid deal, surely this is illegal

At some point Barca have to take responsibility for their mistakes. The league did not ask them to renew the sewer rats contract every off season or to buy players for 100+ ME at an alarming regularity. Barca were able to benefit for many years while other clubs had to cut costs to stay afloat. Barca are now being made to pay for their mistakes.

Tebas is not wrong in trying to get clubs to operate rationally. What he has done though is fail to bring in revenue for LaLiga while two of the best players in history were playing together for 10+ seasons. That's criminal. That twat was giving Perez his back while he was trying to get him to increase revenue. He is now selling out to anyone who wants to pay. Barca/Madrid will never be able to oust Tebas because he has 90% of the league's support. A collection of dimwits that will wonder what happened when the same that happened to Malag and Super Depor happens to them.

Benefit from what?

Anyway it doesnt matter because what Tebas is doing is clear favoritism toward teams who signed his retarded CVC deal and he's rightly being taken to court for it. It doesn't seem legal at all

Having Messi around? Do you think he'd have stayed if you denied him his yearly raises? Not to mention buying a bunch of duds that you couldn't afford anyways. Like I said Barca benefited for years while the rest of the league had to cut costs. They have now been forced to take some accountability. And lets not act like Barca weren't about to sign that damn CVC deal if it wasn't for Perez talking some sense into Laporta at the last minute.

I'd be surprised if the 3 clubs that didn't want to sign that deal won the court case. The cold hearted fact of the matter is that like Barca those teams needed a quick injection if money and were not misled. They signed the deal willingly the same way they'll vote in favour of that buffoon at the next election. You can not fix stupid unfortunately.

Supercopa.. what a joke it has become, sold to Saudi Arabia again, just like CR XD

Anyway, decent games though both to pens with teams seemingly giving it a lot of weight which is surprising consider the crazy packed schedule of the season in addition to the WC already...

For our game, fking Roberto continues to depress us cules Im sure, as with Ferran, so wonder how long we have to put up with watching them Razz Lewand clearly rusty but a key again... Dembele best player until he got subbed off for no reason lool... at least we are crap at the back anymore with Araujo n Kounde there. Oh and Ter Stegen getting some form again... although he looks kind weird with the new hair... not used to seeing it still Very Happy

Surprised we were able to dominate so much Very Happy Our midfield was great. Bit of a case of young beating the old, although Busquets also had a top game Razz His anticipation/pressing together with ball winning is just second to none when at his best. Gavi is in great form n to be MOTM in a classico at his age is pretty amazing Very Happy

Real took Camivinga off but dont think hes the problem. Fede at RW/RM just doesnt work anymore so Carlo needs to figure something out. Modric/Kroos in that second goal went up to press but the rest of the team didnt n it was just a mess up by Real themselves. Mendy has done what he did numerous times in recent games, sloppy pass resulting in the midfield getting pressed n losing the ball, no idea why it still goes on. Benz had a poor game.

The teams really put a lot it seems into these games but I cant help but feel its still just a small trophy like the League Cup/Charity Shield? Doesnt mean much...

As for the "small trophy".... internationally it doesnt matter but domestically it does in my opinion.... Any win you get in el clasico aside from friendly games counts and boosts morale for sure. To win el clasico matters, but also to do it in a dominant way shows that you're doing something right. Any clasico matters as far as our rivarly is concerned

Madrid get serious when it matters. Setien did well over the two games Razz

Theres something wrong with that Real midfield transition for sure, Kroos aged, no Casemiro obviously means a downgrade whoever u bring in. Valverde's technique is just too poor to be a top class midfield I think... pretty sure he will turn into a bench warmer once Real get better option in there.

Something wrong must be wrong with Cavarjal as well he seems to have dropped off very quickly, especially if fighting Nacho for the RB position.

It's easy, we have too many players at the end of their careers at the top level. It's like having a bunch of Marcelos everywhere. We are adressing certain positions in the summer. It's going to be a huuge summer as far as RM are concerned. Lots and lots of players have deals that expire at the end of the season with no renewal news on most of them.

Haha I always try to look at the positive side of things and they have Atleti in the next round, so a tough game awaits them and worst (or best) case scenario, if they manage to beat them too, we will have the chance to whoop their ass again !

Question about why nowadays linesman so often dont flag for a clear offside, but until after the whole play is finished? Like in this case Getafe scored after the striker was clearly offside in the first move?

Still trying to understand it but this has been going on for a while now I think Razz Can anyone pls explain the rule for this strange effect?

A rule change to stop missed goals because of incorrectly ruled offsides.

Its a stupid rule because players can get injured in those plays where you can clearly see a 1,5 meter offside but they play on lol
