A slowmotion video on the incident. Incredible that you think Rodrygo provoked him. The lad tried to run past him eyes on the ball, Fali stops up, identifies Rodrygo as his next victim. Meanwhile Rodrygo tries to protect his chest, a natural instinct when you think somebody will try to elbow your chest/gut and the guy just flings him arm at him. He had it all planned out. He thought he could get Rodrygo off his game by doing that. Rodrygo isn't like Vini who is more emotional. No VAR check nothing. Not even a yellow. Ridiculous!

From multiple angles it does look like Rodrygo was trying to just cover himself. I noticed that lately refs allow for much rougher play in general which obviously benefits the smaller teams who mainly defend and wait for the counters. I don’t complain about it as much because they also allow Gavi to be a crazy mf and they don’t dish out many cards

These refs are just very incompetent and I don’t believe filing a complaint will amount to much

They pick and choose when VAR is applied and when it’s not, it’s quite bizarre

I've never been more amazed by the incompetence of the LaLiga referees than I've been this season.

Carlo mentioned in his presser that there had been 55 red cards this season compared to the 10 or so in EPL. Alot of them not red card worthy challenges. While on other occasions they let red card worthy challenges slide just because they have something against a certain player.

Until the big clubs do something about it, these things will continue to fester and turn LL into a South American league.

I don't even know what my club is doing, looks like you have to mention ESL for them to react. Barca used to protect Neymar. We have done nothing to protect Vini and he doesn't even roll around like Neymar used to do. Don't get me started on our weak captains that are nowhere to be seen when our young guys get targeted. Ramos would run the length of the pitch to stick up for a teammate.

Well that completely contradicts what I said lol. I couldnt believe this is a real stat.

So according to transfermarkt there have been 60 red cards whereas in PL there have only been 11

We like to make fun of him but lets face it Lahoz is the closest referee LL have to an EPL referee in terms of a balance between rough play and worthy card challenges

I must have watched easily ten + plus times and the only thing I can think of Marcos Alonso clipping Joselu from the back. But I had to pause to KINDA see it so Lord knows how Lahoz saw that (if it was even a clip from behind).

Xavi has been terrible but I am not sure Laporta has the balls to sack him tbh. He'll leave only when his position becomes untenable and the fans drive him out.

Well, not a great game but delicious 3 points nonetheless. Solid defense with Araujo back, but we lose control so easily where I think we could easily assert ourselves more especially against weaker teams, not happening with Busquets though who has the athleticism of a maple tree.

Still some weak points in the team, especially DM and RB (Kounde should play through the centre but he's forced out wide). But yeah, the team we have should be enough to win the league at the very least

Ferran red card meaning he will be out for 2-3 games, advantage Barca. Anus Fati is in terrible form aswell, he needs to step up especially with Lewa out

Funny Savic grabbed n pulled poor Ferrans private parts while Ferran pulled his hair, pretty amusing stuff... glad we beat these dirty thugs again... but we rode our luck... mixed performances from the various players... but gotta say having Kounde at RB is such a relief. Balde looking like able long term replacement at LB now too for the most part. If we can fix our LW this summer we really might finally have a balanced team after all this transition time...

I see the Spanish super cup is being played this week. Real Mad beat Valencia yesterday and today it’s Barca - Betis. Final is on Sunday. We may get a head to head clasico!
