I really hope it's true then. I really hope he renews.

The way he's been making Madrid wait for him is disrespectful and it gives you already glimpses on what sort of attitude we would be dealing with.

He clearly loves to be the center of attention and feeling bigger than the club. This is why I think PSG is the perfect club for him.

To think that Haaland's transfer was wrapped up quicker even though he was still contractually bound to Dortmund. This guy holds all the cards to his own transfer and yet he's taking all the time in the world as if he was going to deliver the cure for the black plague.

I hope to God Madrid has already pulled out of the race and to never, ever go after this diva again.

Also, his mother was lying through her teeth about the two offers being financially almost identical. It's just a dumb trick to dupe the world into believing that he chose to stay at PSG for something other than money - because there's no way in freaking hell Madrid can outbid or even match PSG's offer.

If you want to join only Madrid Perez has shown that he is flexible but he has NEVER entered a bidding war. That's not his style.

I am sure we made alot of concessions to please him but within our means

Once he started talking to QSG again, I am sure Perez held his ground re the offer.

Mbappe and his entourage are probably surprised by how structured we are as a club as he has spent 5 seasons at a joke club that pay their players to be respectful of fans

Ronaldo might have been a dick to deal with for Perez but he knew what he wanted despite Utd being on top of the world and we going through decades without winning CL. Ferguson wanted to sell him to anyone but us but he only wanted us.

I respect Mbappe’s decision but I am unhappy that we didn't put a deadline on the offer so that we could've gotten Haaland instead.

Now we are still after a 20+20 player to go along with Benz and Vini and the 2 best young ones are already snapped up.

Perez should just hijack Dembele now to make us feel good tbh

Letting Haaland go was a dumb move indeed.

Not putting a deadline on Mbappe is another.

Perez put all of his eggs in one basket, but he made the grave mistake of trusting the word of a petulant diva.

Mbappe fully within his right to take his time and milk these rich clubs

Good for him. Being from France and Paris…. And being offered a contract you simply cannot refuse…. It’s very understandable.

That said, I don’t trust media reports lol.

Good for him. No hard feelings from my end. At the end of the day it isn't the first time we've dealt with players and agents like that. And it won't be the last. It probably would've been overkill to have Vini and Mbappe clogging the LW side. We need and have always needed a WC RW and someone to take over from Benz. Hopefully Haaland could be the Benz replacement in a couple of seasons and we get a WC RW pronto

What we do next is what counts.

Publically this will be a humiliation for Perez similar to the failed super league. But I actually think he did everything he could.

Mbappe probably chose security and being the face of their team. Either he'll regret staying there like Neymar or he'll take them to their first CL ever. Like Sport said, he's born there and they are hardly poor. They'll keep outbidding eveyone for every player and eventually they might have a chance especially if they get Pep or ZZ

I think the latter is unlikely as the PL keeps improving and then you have historic teams like Bayern and Real Madrid that'll never go away.

Hopefully Vini keeps improving and becomes our new clutch player. With Alaba being our LB i think we are going in the right direction

With this decision, he has sealed his fate to never wear the white of Madrid, because I'm pretty sure they will never come back for him again.

As for Madrid, we will suffer for losing out on both Haaland and Mbappé because there are no good enough strikers on the market.

In a few years maybe if somebody else emerges, but for now, we will have to make due with what we've got.

I wish we hadn't given up on Haaland so easily.

No freaking way!!! It's almost as if QSG learned nothing from giving Neymar free reign at Paris.

Dembele was just waiting to see how much Mbappe got. Now he'll ask for 201ME from Barca. Laporta did say he is better than Mbappe after all

Details of the contract still haven't emerged yet officially. Some are saying 2 years + 1 (optional).

But regardless, the important thing here is for Perez to never go after him again.

I don't care if Mbappe includes a clause in his contract specifically for Real Madrid to take him for free in 2024, Perez should never come for him again.

For the way he played Madrid for his personal gain, for the way he wasted too much of Madrid's time until other interesting players got snapped up, he should never be allowed to play for Madrid ever.

Now, Madrid has lost out on both Haaland and Mbappe. I hope they learned their lesson to never put all of their eggs in one basket and to never wait for any player for more than they should.

I can understand Mbappé. He has basically tried to hit two birds with one stone. First bird is that he is young, he thinks he can still waste another couple of years at Paris while making the type of dough nobody has ever made. The second bird is that, once these couple of years have passed, Madrid will come back knocking again, so he hasn't really missed an opportunity to wear the Blancos shirt. The second one is him taking a risk because the way he's treated Uncle Flo, he may have pissed him off enough for him to never ever come for him. But two years is a long time and old wounds may heal by then. We'll see.

That’s generational wealth for the Mbappe family for a 3 year contract. If you’re honest with yourself, who would pass that up.

This is literally 40% above what PSG was offering him in March btw.

Imagine the next time the coach looks at him the wrong way.....
