Re: 2021/2022 Premier League Discussion
Ive never been more sure of a CL final victory than this time Carthage no disrespect to Madrid so very confident for the 26th.
City can have their title. CL trumps all.

No disrespect taken, I think you're the favorites too.
But can I be honest about one thing? I hate, and I mean really, really hate, Klopp's goal celebrations.

You're not winning that either. Enjoy your FA & Carling/Whatever cup as it was well earned.Arquitecto wrote:Ive never been more sure of a CL final victory than this time Carthage no disrespect to Madrid so very confident for the 26th.

City: 93 pts
Pool: 92 pts
Do we agree this is the greatest PL title race since United/City in 2012?

4 PL titles in 5 seasons is some achievement no matter how much money they've spent

Credit to both team... going all the way again. Pep deserves some credit dont he? Just goes to show fine margins between success n failure. HT he was getting sacked, FT hes staying

Re: 2021/2022 Premier League Discussion
Proud of Liverpool ! Klopp is the best manager in the world no doubt about it. Just one regret is "had we signed Diaz earlier" as I have posted numerous times that usual front three's output was going down season after season. Diaz completely refreshed our attack by taking the attention away from Salah/Mane.
Anyways congratulations to Pep. No matter what we say, Pep knows how to build great teams. Today's victory proves that. Even though Pep lost in CL, I still think his team in another season would have won both EPL and CL.

You just celebrated City's win as a victory for football.
The competition era was a mirage created by Pep occasionally letting off the gas.

oooh no my friend. Haaland is in town now. Pep is going to dominate the living crap out of the PL.

You're right, that was in 2019. But I feel this year it has been more exciting and the two teams were very close in terms of quality.

no offence but Klopp has one EPL in 5 seasons. How does that make him the best in the world??????Helmer wrote:Proud of Liverpool ! Klopp is the best manager in the world no doubt about it. Waa gonna put the Fraudiola video after City would lose but they somehow turned it around. Villa lost their legs I feel and Peps changes were spot on. Still overated but congrats to Pep his team did just enough to win the league here.

The point difference between one title and three titles is 3 points across two seasons. Only an absolute idiot would discount this achievement.
Ofcourse "best" is highly subjective.
This is the reality of competing against state-funded teams. Expect similar results for Newcastle once the oil proxy pens wars begin.

Re: 2021/2022 Premier League Discussion
@Lord Spencer the manner of the victory today was a win for football, but obviously a petro state's plaything winning is not great. Then again neither is a billionaire's or oligarch's plaything, and that just about sums up all the available choices in the PL.

Re: 2021/2022 Premier League Discussion
it doesn't really matter how much differed between the clubs, only in PL does this get celebrated as some sort of an achievement and Liverpool are hardly this poor team going up against a team that hogs all the WC players. Spare me....Lord Spencer wrote:halamadrid2 wrote:no offence but Klopp has one EPL in 5 seasons. How does that make him the best in the world??????Helmer wrote:Proud of Liverpool ! Liverpool were great and this was a great title race but proclaiming Klopp as the best just because he "competed" is laughable
