This trophy was good for Liverpool in terms of momentum and taste of the silverware to motivating them now throughout the remaining season. Not easy to last the whole season under Klopp. Most important thing, Klopp finally won a trophy at Wembley

as for my thoughts on the game... not that Liverpool were passive but i was impressed by how much Chelsea outplayed them for most of the first 65 mins. They really should have scored a few goals, specifically looking at Mount. But then i think they just ran out of steam and Liverpool became a bit more threatening the rest of the game... but it was still 50/50 for the rest of the game with the way the match flow went from side to side.

I had a feeling though Chelsea would lose because of the many great opportunities they squandered earlier in the match

Every single time, this is now 270 mins of Tuchel against Liverpool and they look head and tails above us every single time but they can never beat us, it's crazy. I have to accept they are just not good enough.

Really thought this was the first game Thiago would play against Tuchel's Chelsea where we warrant dominating midfield while getting the result but meh.

Getting Milner, Origi and Elliot on and still winning the trophy, this is special.

As an old former LFC fan, well done! Razz Especially in overtaking Man U in the record Very Happy

So looks like Chelsea still struggling with the consistent elite goal scorer, still their weakness.

Profits going to the victims of war is pretty classy. He took a mid table team and made them elite. Won't be a small amount

My question is why? I understand there is a current situation but considering how close he is to Putin, does Roman see this as a long term issue? That worries me greatly for world peace when Russians seem this aggression as a long term issue beyond the result of the invasion whether there is a fall or a truce, let's take this to the other thread if the reply does not apply here.

Yea, great if true, but can we really believe all if much of the elites say nowadays?

Wonder if this will affect Chelsea's first team though if new owners that come in wont throw money to sign stars every yr like Roman have like for the last two decades...

From a Russian perspective, this is not a short term! And the sanctions are only going to increase. He is now trying to sell everything. You can bet the sake proceeds will be deposited into some tax haven country where no authorities will have access to it. He and the others racing their yachts to Maldives are trying to put their assets off limits to the sanctions that they know are coming.

Now, let's force the American owners to sell their clubs and pay reparations to their victims in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Yemen.

I like what youve been attacking Spence.

The double standards on display globally in this regard (we know why) is incredible and downright amusing.

The media is truly effective in what it does.

Saudi is in a war with Yemen, so they should be added to the list. Qatar is not involved with any war despite their other human rights issues, so they are not in the same boat yet.

Trent is so good.

A defensive diamond of Fabinho, Van Dijk, Konate, and Alisson to stop counters is as good as they come.

Is there a thread somewhere talking about Abromovich? So basically his money has always been unclean from what Im reading. All along I always had the impression ppl thought him n Chelsea were positive for the game. I mean I dont remember back in 2000 or so when he took over anyone talked about where his money were from or maybe the world was just less transparent n ppl knew little? And usually when ppl complain about oil sovereign or dirty money resulting in unfair competition they dont mention Chelsea?

United desperately need a coach and his team who can improve players by training. No matter how much you spend on a player, it is not going to help.
With that said, unbelievable that Arsenal can be only 2 points behind title challengers Chelsea if they win the game in hand Laughing
