Obviously hypothetical for Klopp's thinking, but the entire agenda of Liverpool fans before the game was that Jota starts over Diaz purely since Rulli was a Flappy Mcflappy in the first leg and we knew he had an error in him inside the box that only a striker could capitalize.

We never got a chance to cross and use Jota since playing Keita was a huge mistake not allowing anything from Trent's side. We started crossing at the 50th when we got control of the game but that is where Jota would have flourished.

Diaz still needs time to settle, needs a full pre season and needs to learn how to work with Robbo the way Mane does. He was off the pace in some key games that we still ended up winning with Jota coming on and making the difference, so you don't have to look to far back to see why Jota started.

He played in the previous game. Klopp is rotating. This was Diaz's 49th game of the season.
