most of his set pieces these days doesn't clear the first man. We had 15 corners against Almeria and quite a few against Espanyol and I could probably think of 2/3 decent ones.

Kroos corners have been atrocious. That is absolutely true. Didn't Alaba take them for Bayern?

Like old man Bill went and make tea each time Kroos took a set piece. Main man Kroos set pieces have been poor, no question about it.

Outside of that, still pretty good though I would maintain it should be either Modric or Kroos in matches where the opposition is ridiculously intense (like Espanyol).

Alaba can take corners. I would still rather kroos, especially since I don't want us caught on a counter with our cb taking em. That said, Hazard. Smh, as a winger, I don't care what wing ure more comfortable on. For us to have an open slot on the right wing, and a defensive mid is the first choice in that position; Hazard needs to work harder. I'm not his biggest fan but I'd prefer an actual winger like himself there. Even though I like the job Valverde is doing. Hazard needs to work harder

The future is a double pivot of Tchou-Cama. I can't think of a better setup for them.

this is something I'd love to see more of. With Tchou-Cama on double pivot, Fede on the right, and one of Modric/Kroos as the advanced midfielder is something can work out very well i feel. Although, I think Camavinga has been pretty decent so far playing as the advanced midfieider. He still has lots to learn but I like what I see

This Pelligrini Betis team is legit. They are very good and giving our team a good challenge. I love it. I rather have these difficult games than domination games.

Fun game and a good win, we were fortunate that Fekir only played 11 minutes.

I hope Benzema starts getting into his groove soon, hasn't been at his usual level despite the goals.

Great game from Militao as well as Tchouameni, showcasing why we let Casemiro go and paid 80 mil for him.

Rodrygo's positioning this season has been super interesting, feels like he has been given the license to roam around as opposed to hugging the RW like in past seasons. He was constantly moving into central positions or overloading the left side with Vini.

Last season we lost to Espanyol away and drew to Betis at home. We have won both games this season. Now, just need to start CL well and not be left with a mountain to climb after some losses

Not sure what's going on with Benz but nothing is coming off for him this season. Everything is going wrong for him. If it wasn't for his goals he'd be a 0/10 this season. Needs to get going soon because Vini is bound to hit a bad patch soon and we'll need Benz to carry us then

Thought the game went by Modric alot today. I think we'd been better off starting Valverde. He did better in the second half but still when games are this physical and intense I'd rather start the athletic players

I’m very happy with this team. Benz is a little off, but you can’t help but be impressed with Vini and Rodrygo plus both are improving more almost every game, and the sub of Valverde was great.

If you noticed all 6 of midfielders were played and particularly good was Tchouameni and Camvinga. So much for saying Carlo wouldn’t rotate.

And defense was good as well, particularly Militao. And again Carlo surprising with rotations. I remember us discussing if Rudiger came, he wouldn’t come to not be a starter!

I think this team is solid with our only exposure being no real backup if something happens to Benz (and maybe Vini).

Tchouameni is just killing it now. 80m is looming incredibly cheap now, and considering we sold Casemiro for 70m, its slowly becoming a win win situation.

Now of course we should wait until Tchouameni has an entire season under his belt but so far he's been impeccable

I see huge differences between the timid guy I saw against Barca in preseason to the game against Almeria where he didn't actually have a good game to this game. You can see how much he has improved. He's only going to get better and better. Can't wait to see him against Atleti and Barca in a few weeks time.

In short - his body is rebelling against the strain of overuse. Need to manage him A LOT better.

According to Marca it's up to 3 weeks but the club doctors have adviced him to rest and take it easy. Will miss 3 games in total 2 in the league and 1 in CL as well as thr International games. For once the international break came at a perfect time
