Benz compromised for CR because CR was the better player. We won’t make Vinicius change his position and adapt his style of play for a worse player than him lol

Yeeeeeaaah, no. Vini isn't moving to the right for anyone lol. Mbappe will probably have that free role Hazard had when he played together with Vini to start with, then take over from Benz when he wants to leave. Not even "more accomplished " Hazard could displace him from his left position. Vini is Perez' Neymar he won't let the kid go to waste in a position he has never played. Mbappe played on the right for Monaco so it's not foreign to the boy. He'll just have to adapt. Besides Mbappe has no dribbling skills, what do you expect him to do when he has no space we'll play him close to goal where his qualities will be better suited.

Re: The Official Real Madrid 21-22 Match Day Thread
Next up Inter in our killer schedule
A team that have only lost twice in all competitions since the start of the season and are in great form right now
We are 2 points ahead so we won't need to win this game to finish top of the group
We should definitely rotate this game. Rest Dani, Mendy, Alaba, Kroos, Modric and Vini. They have played faaaaar too many minutes. Seeing Benz go down injured should serve as a reminder to Carlo of what happened in his first stint when he refused to rotate. If any game was appropriate for a mass rotation this would be it.
We have Atleti 3 days later, whom if we could beat would put us very faar ahead of our rivals going into the winter break

Re: The Official Real Madrid 21-22 Match Day Thread
Vini will play on the left even if Mbappe comes. Ancelotti himself said so. because Vini on the right is not the same player whilst someone like Mbappe can still be world class at RW. also Vini and Rodrygo's work rate is 3 times more than Mbappe. Mbappe can't do the defensive work on the wings in our current system with a CF in front of him.
as for who is going to be benched i think it's Benz. age will catch up to him. it has already imo. he is losing 1 on 1 battles 90% of the time and lets be honest Haaland, Mbappe and Vini are monsters in the making.
Benz can't play anywhere else in a 4-3-3. now if we switch to different formation then its different story. i will gladly bench Benz for Haaland. at the end of the day improving teams performance on the pitch is the most important.

Both Mbappe and Haaland are not coming. Mbappe is the first choice and Haaland is the backup option.
Also expect City to go all out for Haaland.

Everything points to Mbappe coming. Why would he change his mind?
Haaland I'll say won't come if we don't move on from Bsnz

I have hope for both. Mbappe was a signing for last summer that didn't go through. we have the money to pay them both.
as for whether we can fit both of them into a system i think we can.

We’ll find out soon enough as they will make the offer in January! The rumours of PSG / Manu coach rotations with Zidane taking charge of PSG is the one possibility of a change in mind. I think it all depends on the offer and what Mbappe is expecting!
Offering soon is good news as they will know long before summer signing opens up and if necessary prepare for a Haaland approach. Haaland will be difficult as City is in desperate need for a striker and have money to burn plus his agent is difficult to deal with.

Re: The Official Real Madrid 21-22 Match Day Thread
Mbappe hasn't gone this far without signing an extension to "see what we can offer him" that has most probably already been agreed since a long time ago. The guy has been flirting with a move for nearly a whole season. He just released a comic story about himself and the content was basically 90% RM, 0.001% PSG. He knows he has to move forward in his career and nobody gives a crap what he does in Ligue Z. The boy has stagnated playing there for so long. He needs better competition and better teammates and a better run organisation than the crime syndicate that is the Qatar FC
We are sitting here speculating whether we will go for Haaland too but that's also likely been decided since a long time ago. Outside of rumours in the news papers there hasn't been a single credible story that we are actually after Haaland. Perez likes the drama when it comes to high profile signings. There's been nothing on that front at all. Just his agent flirting with every big team out there. His agent is itching to get a player into RM imo. Haaland is probably open to alot of teams, none specifically. If he lowers his wage demands to a reasonable amount i can see him going to Germany 's open prison when Lewa is due for his release. Otherwise i see him in EPL more than RM or PSG
I reckon Perez is quite high on Rodrygo too and wants him to succeed here, meaning he won't stifle him by signing 2 guys who will be playing week in week out. Have a suspicious feeling Perez's dream frontline is Vini-Mbappe-Rodrygo. If Rodrygo can continue to develop the same way Vini has, maybe this frontline will be our future

Re: The Official Real Madrid 21-22 Match Day Thread
Don’t misunderstand me, i do want and hope Mbappe comes.
But no, there has been no offer yet. It would be illegal. They did have prior conversations about what would be expected, but that was for last year. Who knows if these expectations are the same. As I said we should know soon!
My posts were all about Sports making his usual pro French pitch and putting down Vinicius!
Plus I was clarifying the Haaland situation.
My guess is Mbappe comes to Madrid (to play with Benz and Vinicius) and Haaland goes to City. In other words the loser in all this is PSG and their Dream team (lol).
The freeing up of the dead weight (Hazard, Bale, Marcelo, Isco) and Mariano will allow them to obtain a CB, LB and RB and possibly a CM. - all backups.

Your record of dishing the young prospects speaks volumes of your opinion(s). Now that Vinicius and Militao are breaking through as well as Rodrygo improving steadily, you seem to want to stroke the fire even more. It’s like only France can develop talent, let alone a non futbol nation like Brasil!

Re: The Official Real Madrid 21-22 Match Day Thread
Back on topic, Hala I don’t believe Carlo will rest all that you say against Inter. We still want 1st place. It is said that Benz wants to start but I hope not, for his sake. I would give Jovic another opportunity. If he can somehow build confidence, it bodes well not only for this season but next as well.
I would rest at least one of Modric, Casemiro or Kross. Time for both Valverde and Camavinga to established themselves as potential starters. And I’m a bit nervous about Dani and no real substitute. As for rest I wouldn’t make any other changes other than ensuring Rodrygo gets the start to continue his progression.
And interesting piece of news. Vinicius has submitted his papers for Spanish citizenship. This will free up a non EU spot of roster, with both Rodrygo and Militao likely to follow same process next year. That extra spot could be for Reiner or Kubo or perhaps a new signing.

Re: The Official Real Madrid 21-22 Match Day Thread
I have a feeling Carlo won't rotate too. Seen it far too many times. He has subbed Kroos/Modric/Mendy/Dani out a few times this season but not enough and Vini, Casemiro, Benz are being overplayed. It's a recipe for disaster. How many times has Benz signalled to the bench that he wants to be subbed because he is tired. And now predictably he is injured. It's not like last season where you couldn't trust the back ups, Fede has huge experience, he has played in some of our biggest games in the last couple of seasons. Hazard cam surely step in for Vini every once in a while.
We don't need to beat Inter to finish first, we just have to avoid losing. And we can definitely do that with a few back up players, absolutely.
It's great that Vini nearly has his citizenship. Reiner is a lost cause. He can't even come on as a sub for Dortmund. He probably won't make it here. Kubo might come back absolutely. We'll see

After Don Carlo said otherwise? You need to lay off the bourbon my old friend. Take back your wager before you regret it.sportsczy wrote:I will avatar wage anyone here that Mbappe plays on the left if he comes to Madrid... anyone. It's not even a question.
I would like to see some rotations. Inter ain't important. Beating atletico is more important imo.
Re: The Official Real Madrid 21-22 Match Day Thread
I disagree this is important. We are a good team but not at the level that City, Pool, Chelsea and Bayern are currently at and I expect we'd lose to them.
We get first we at the very least have until the QF to worry about
Hope we get PSG tbh. I have full confidence we'd put them away

militao has been good, but i dont know that i can say he is outperforming alaba....especially if we look at the first few weeks of the season, when i was saying the defense just needs to have some games together before we throw them under the bus. and yeah inter game i think was important to top the group, i've always preferred the second leg being at home (even though the away goal ruling has been scrapped)

Such a clear difference when all our forwards perform instead of just Benzema. Last year none of them were effective. This year every forwards Jovic Asensio Vini Rodrygo are finally performing well and it's letting us run away with la liga

yes, our forwards are all picking up steam. special shout to asensio because i still dont know his proper position, but he just pops up and gets a goal. vini for all his skills is dangerous in the final third as scorer and provider, glad benzema's issue was nothing more than probably a knock

Re: The Official Real Madrid 21-22 Match Day Thread
Money time is in March people. This is great. With how shit the rest of La Liga is, we may even wrap things up by March... which would be a huge boon. Typically, Carlo overplays the starting 11 and, come March or thereabouts, his teams collapse in the league. One solution to this, of course, is to have such a big lead that we can collapse all we want lol.
I'm just hoping we don't burn out our older players... namely Benzema, Modric, and Kroos. We can't win against big teams without these guys playing and in form. CL is once again very winnable as it appears right now.

Is it really winnable? I have a hard time imagining anybody outside of Bayern and the English teams winning this year.
