Bailly following up his great performance midweek with a goal in the opening 10 mins
sums up his United career tbh, insanely inconsistent

Hope City keep the scoreline respectable. Pep needs to show some respect to Ole. He just signed a new contract ffs.

It's Ole In until atleast the rest of the season.
Think you'll sack him after this season and hire Brenton in the summer.

And replace him with who? Giggs?
Howe's gone, Conte's gone, your only choicr is a selection of Mendes clients (Fonseca, Conceicao) or shit ex-United players
Believe it or not you're better off with Ole for the time being

I don't know enough about Ajax but I see fans clamoriong for Ten Hag
I'm certain that Ole's staying until the summer though
Conte should be available then after rage quitting Spurs

Dutch managers in 2021?
Might as well apologise to Moyes and bring him back to the theater of dreams

Re: 2021/2022 Premier League Discussion
The next manager still has to find a way to make a midfield of Fred, McTominay, Matic, Fernandes and Pogba work while trying to make sure Ronaldo always starts and doesn't upset the team balance.
Not to mention that the full back situation that is Wan and Shaw, two guys that should have been improved on (particularly Shaw) and whatever CB pairing would work.
Oh and try to sort of Sancho as he is basically a non-entity these days.
Changing managers is one thing but Utd clearly needs an institutional overhaul, something firing Ole wouldn't solve though keeping him is just not really advisable either.

The guy to get is Galtier who is now the manager at Nice. He's extremely good.
But he doesn't f around. He's the French version of Conte.

The year is 2051, Ole is still at the wheel and his only tactic is still to rely on Ronaldo to bail him out pic.twitter.com/NAPsCA77Nq

Re: 2021/2022 Premier League Discussion
Ronaldo will bail Ole out against the small teams. United will be losing those games when they should be winning, then he'll come for the rescue with a header in the 90th minute.
It's against the big teams where the qualitative difference will be too much. A 37-year-old poacher isn't going to bail you out against City or Liverpool. The problem is though it seems like the expectation is that Ole doesn't have to win the big games. Normally, big club coaches get sacked when they lose against small teams, but how do you expect to lose against them when Ronaldo will save you time and time again.
Now the best coach on the market is gone. Who the hell is going to replace Ole now?

Re: 2021/2022 Premier League Discussion
I understand that Ole is a useless and all that, but can someone please explain to me how CR7 is supposedly dragging this team? What am I missing?
They predictably lose against Man City, a team that has looked like the much better one between the two since the start of the year, Arsenal are about to climb above them on the table, and the conclusion still seems to be that CR7 is performing miracles against the odds.
Man United had respectable head-to-head stats against Man City last year. If I remember correctly, it was a draw, a loss and two wins against one of the strongest teams in the league. The matches against Liverpool didn't look this one-sided either. Add some quality to that team, and it would be a step in the right direction. But they didn't add just anyone, they added Cristiano Ronaldo.
The pre- CR7 football wasn't always fun to watch, but it's a team that excels at counter attacking and little else, and so it makes sense for that to be their default playing style. What this team spearheaded by CR7 is doing, is anyone's guess. If CR7 doesn't perform, they're just a team that doesn't play to their most apparent strength and they look like a mess.
I have a ton of respect for CR7's ability and professionalism, I don't think that needs to be mentioned, but it genuinely doesn't make sense to me that he's saving anyone when the overall performance level and cohesiveness of the team has regressed in order to complement his inclusion. Clutch, injury time goals are always exciting to witness, but it's the bigger picture that matters, isn't it?

Why didn't he join a bigger club? Normally coaches who win the title with an underdog team end up joining a big club the next season.
