I feel curious about Kovacic because I know him since 2012, basically grown at Inter, player who always missed of something for making the leap.
About a thing I was sure , and it proved as true. He's midfielder and not CAM ( at that time he even played as CAM under Mancini, not by chance his old thread - not opened by me - talked about ' new trequartista ' ) .
It was clear to me even though his sense of position wasn't optimal and he "struggled" to stay good on pitch. Well here I get my first response, yesterday he 's battled good against Liverpool midfield

Watching Liverpool because I hear Harvey Elliott is a very big talent then bang he breaks his leg. Bad moment for an 18 year old. Never seen a defender break a player’s leg with their standing foot before, but somehow he’s jumped into the youngster’s leg with his left foot while sweeping the ball away with his right foot.
English football destroying its own talents yet again.

Hope he recovers soon because that looked ugly to say the least. Struijk wasn't even bothered by red card he was concerned for Elliott, that shows how terrible that injury was.

A lot of people saying they don’t think it was a foul. If you want to “let the game flow”, allow hard challenges and such, don’t expect to win anything internationally with your best talents constantly being cycled through hospital emergency departments.

ehhh... it looked like a 50/50 challenge to me, and it was more a case of Elliot's leg getting stuck in the turf and his momentum going over causing the break. Unlucky, you don't want to see it, but these things happen.

It’s really impressive how Ronaldo has improved his hold up play and link up/overall play. Granted, he’s no messi or de bruyne making defense splitting passes, but he is still quite technical in that number 9 position and is showing surprising things he didn’t even show at Madrid. The team play, not shooting from 100 yards, holding up the ball against premier league CBs, unselfish movement, even pressing lol. Let’s see if he can keep it up.

He’s not some wizard like a messi or maradona with the ball but he’s definitely not just some poacher.
