I cant believe Alex Sandro was highly rated once, literally adds nothing to the team, an extra body

Potentially 16 pts behind Milan and Napoli and it's not even December...

This is going to be a long season

Peaked early and was totally average after his first season and a half here.

Been cruising for like 3 years.

still solid on FIFA

anyway happens, Juve will be back....probably

Juve fans dont care but its healthy for the league, makes it watchable and not a formality that Juve will win now

Actually watched a few games this season, more than I have since Montella's first Fiorentina stint

The expectation for us is top 4 and it will be tough, like last season but hopefully a bit less.

Strong and balanced match against Roma. They had several dangerous counters (and we are so advanced they are bound to have them) while we had our share of chances as well.

Only goal is a rare FK goal by Ibra (who has been having a great match).

Yet, despite it being balanced, Roma are actually lucky to be still in the game with two great chances that should have been buried and a fractional (correct) offside goal.

That offside goal was great, with a chest assist by Ibra given an even better finish by Leao. It should stand correct on aesthetics alone.

Ibra with a great goal.

Another fractional offside call. Roma extremely lucky with these decisions.

Honestly, these offside lines are too thin.

Red card to Theo.

Extremely bad. Half an hour of suffering. Krunic stopped because he thought he was fouled, but that caused a dangerous counter attack. If this FK gets in, a draw is likely.

Shit, we are playing against Inter without Theo.

That was an extremely stupid foul to give, and an extremely stupid attack to concede. Costly mistake.

We lost a huge attacking outlet without him in the field.

Giroud's hold-up play is unexpectedly abysmal considering his frame. You would think he can more effectively trap and utilize all these long plays. Compare that to what Ibra does and you see how there is really no comparison between the two.

Playing with Giroud is 50% less effective than with Ibra in a good day. Still better than the options we had last year, but it doesn't look like this is going to be a revival signing for him.

We survived the final 20 minutes somehow.

Ibra, Kjaer, and Count Tatarusanu MOTM.

Theo nearly cost us with his stupid red card (after playing a good game) and now we are facing Inter at 70% strength.

Roma lucky to even be close to tying the game, completely dominated in most of the game and all of the second half before the Red Card.

Removing Ibra actually released them from a lot of pressure, as Giroud cannot occupy the defenders in the same way.

Mou will want to claim 2 penalty decisions when the ref and VAR helped them avoid a drubbing. One decision was Pellegrini jumping into Kjaer contesting for a high ball, and the other was a ball hitting the arm of Toure while being tightly held to his body.

Que the "we played better than them" shithousery. Every Italian coach takes about suffering and being humble except Mourinho.

Huge games next, and hopefully Ibra is back to this level, because we are simply a different team with his influence.

No Theo against Inter @Robes

Wednesday will be the most important game of this season so far, so much on the hinge.

Also, some fans were singing "you are a gypsy" to Ibra when he scored, and he urged them to sing louder, so the ref booked him Laughing

It felt like the ref just wanted an excuse to give us yellow cards after the crowd hounded him for giving Zanilo a yellow for desent.

His contract expires in June and he won't extend it

Shame but anyway that vital is Brozovic for us (still in negotiation...), similar with Kessie for you

I don't deny it is great news for Inter on paper but Milan proved to win despite big absences this year (Theo, Ibra, Maignan, Rebic)...
Differently from last year where Milan had wasted points for it

Wednesday Is crucial for Inter too, the match against Sheriff is such as a final, if Inter win they go 2nd otherwise ...

I have no complaints regarding the Milan loss. That's why they're joint leaders. That's why they're undefeated. Had a very clear game plan and didn't look ruffled at all today, not even when they went down to 10.

As for us....well we struggled to cope with the pressure all game. Too defensive in the first half, but it got better in the 2nd. Leao's a good player, but not a reason we should be playing so deep. And Zlatan....well he's Zlatan.

Up top, we're not only lacking the finish, we're struggling to create clear cut chances against the truly good backlines. Tammy got pocketed by Kjaer and we're playing 3 players behind him that all excel when played centrally. Zaniolo is NOT a winger and it shows. Mkhi's more comfortable out wide, but is just in poor form. And so it falls to Pellegrini to provide the service and when he's forced to do more defending than normal, the service dries up. Tammy got marked out of the game very easily this way today.

I don't think we were terrible today. I've seen terrible from this team this month. This was not that. I don't even think we were bad. Just not good enough. We just came up against a team much further along in their journey and the predictable happened.

Onwards.
