Mbappe actually had a very good relationship with Pochettino. PSG are just on this mission to get Zidane and to build a « french » project, this is why he was so insistant to say he is staying in his country to win a CL bla-bla-bla.

I will even support Satan against QSG for the remainder of my life.

They've had 10 different projects since that clown cuckold Khalaifi took over and all have failed in hilarious fashion. Their "French" project will follow the same fate insha'Allah.

It seems a bit too late for the "French" project At this point they're just trying to force the club into this direction.

Not too long ago they could've built a team with their French youth products and several (then) affordable Ligue 1 stars like Dembélé and Kanté. Instead, they decided to overpay for South American stars.

This french project narrative exists only to make sense out of giving Mbappé the keys to the club. In reality the guy wanted out and Nasser took it personal, result he had to bend over and spread the legs. Zidane links is Nasser trying to show dominance on the new GM Mbappé Campos. If really it mattered to have a french squad they would sign Tchouameni, instead you read senseless rumors about Lewandowski a polish striker who wants only Barca.

I never rated the man but even I'm surprised by this. He either must not have liked it there or there was more behind the scenes that we do not know.

Bland character tbh, never rated him. This entire forum was in love with him during his Tottenham days.

But there were good signs towards the end of the season for Chelsea, apart from that Arsenal destruction.

Was starting to look like football and some players were finally starting to look the part. If they sacked him just for the sake of it without a clear replacement then it was probably a mistale, should have given him another year.

Obviously, I didn't know he was going to get sacked, but it really did seem like Pochettino accepted a hopeless situation when he came in. I still remember his confused/frustrated figure when he was asked about the incoming transfers and he didn't even seem to be aware of them, which is pretty wild. 6th is a significant improvement from their last season, and the emergence of Cole Palmer clearly had a big impact on that improvement.

You would think he had turned things around considering the circumstances, but in the end it looks like the expectations were higher. They pillaged Brighton for Caicedo who was brought in for an insane fee and has yet to justify half of his price tag - maybe that played into why the higher ups considered the season a failure. Or maybe Boehly just likes sacking managers

Tbh I dont think he deserved the sacking. He essentially had to rebuild Chelsea from the ground up and now there's new talent beginning to bud there. I wouldve at least given him another season to see where it goes. Too imo but let's see who they bring in

Praising man management is so cliched and I admit I do that too often as it isn't hard to get along with players as long as you listen to them cater to their social needs as subordinates for the real part comes in being an actual tactician.

I agree his praise at Spurs was nauseating. Its Bareletto cosmico from here who rates him for no reason

Seems very odd to fire him considering that he straighted the ship in the 2nd half of the season. Especially with no clear replacement in mind.

But the Chelsea job is cursed. Club just not setup for stability.
