Valencia new coach: Mauricio Pellegrino
http://www.elconfidencial.com/deportes/liga-bbva/2012/03/23/llorente-llamo-personalmente-a-pochettino-para-que-sea--el-proximo-entrenador-del-valencia-94830/
would be a good choice although he looks committed to his project at Espanyol.

Re: Valencia new coach: Mauricio Pellegrino
Overrated manager imo, I've never been impressed by him. Don't see why he has so much hype surrounding him.
Also, Argentine managers according to the forum in 2010: "Clearly crap, that's why they will never win a WC with the lack of quality they have in this department"
Argentine managers in 2012: "Bielsa
Simeone
Pochettino
"

Re: Valencia new coach: Mauricio Pellegrino
Pochettino and Bielsa are very understandable but I see no reason to rate Simeone. None whatsoever. I could say for certain it was Argentine coaches coaching Argentina that was the issue, not so much Argentine coaches in general...

Re: Valencia new coach: Mauricio Pellegrino
Simeone is doing a mighty fine job at Atleti tbf a better job than Pochettino is doing IMO.
I do hope this happens and then it will determine whether my belief that Pochettino would flop at a bigger with bigger expectations than Espanyol is true or not.

Re: Valencia new coach: Mauricio Pellegrino
Simeone has done wonders with Pathetico
this is the same team that lost all their best players to various teams, had rebels playing for them, had Flores<<<<Emery coaching them and just in general really shat(for 2 full seasons)
now, i dont miss a single game of them because i enjoy watching their beautiful football
well done Simeone, keep up the good work and we will hopefully see you in the Uefa Super Cup, if we both make it

http://valenciacf.lasprovincias.es/noticias/2012-05-06/pellegrino-valencia-mauricio-entrenador-201205061218.html
never was a fulltime coach, year and a half without a job... i guess expecting djukic from segunda was too much

Re: Valencia new coach: Mauricio Pellegrino
I dunno about his current occupational status but Rafa was always very very high on him while he was at Liverpool.
I think his relationship with Rafa at least has a little bit to do with his hiring.

Re: Valencia new coach: Mauricio Pellegrino
Louis van Gaal is available... can't believe he hasn't been linked with anyone lately. He's batshit crazy, but who cares.
Plays a similar style that Valencia apply and will definitely show them his balls.

Re: Valencia new coach: Mauricio Pellegrino
Mauricio Pellegrino?
Pellegrino, 40, is a former Velez Sarsfield, Barca and later a Valencia player that won the titles and reached the CL finals in the early 2000's. He then worked for the Valencia youth, but stayed shortly as he moved to work with Rafa Benitez as his assistant coach in Liverpool and Inter, where he helped both teams reach many accolades. "Flaco" will be presented at the end of the season.
So I'm expecting a rafa-esque style
