Wow, that's selfless by Haaland. Could've had a hattrick there.

The kid is a goal machine. It's just a shame Madrid didn't go for him when he was affordable. Now, with the way he's performing, he'll be way too expensive for Madrid when Dortmund decides to sell.

Still, I wish him the best, even if it's not with us.

He has a release clause that activates in 1 or 2 summers. Every top club will be trying to activate it and probably paying an extra fee to him and his agent.

I didn't know about that. I googled it and apparently his release clause is €75m which will be active from 2022. That's staggeringly low for a kid of his talent. Almost a bargain even.

The bidding war will definitely drive the price up. I'm sure we will be in the race for him, though. That is, if I've understood how this works. If the sum in the clause is final, then that obviously changes things.

A release club is all the club will get. There will likely be added fees for Raiola and Haaland himself to "convince" them.

Yeah, with the release clause the bidding war will concern Haalands wages and his and Raiolas signing and agent fees, BVB will get the contractual amount and not a penny more (reports ranging from 60m to 75m).

Unless clubs will try to buy him for more money from BVB already in summer 2021.

LEEEEEWAAAAAAAA

beautiful goal

and the second assist for Chris Richards, it would be 3 assists for the kid if Müller hadn't been 2 cm offside earlier

but it seems we'll get another backup RB in anyway, Sarr from Marseille hmm

Schalke looked so shit against Bayern. They’re pressuring like mad dogs against Dortmund now Laughing

I bet they’ll run out of stamina and get steamrolled in the second half.

anyway, let's look at the lineups

BVB: Bürki - Delaney, Hummels, Akanji - Meunier, Brandt, Dahoud, Guerreiro - Sancho, Reyna - Haaland
Bank: Hitz - Morey, Hazard, Reus, Reinier, Bellingham, Piszczek, Witsel, Passlack

Schalke: Rönnow - Thiaw, Sane, Nastasic - Ludewig, Mascarell, Oczipka - Harit, Bentaleb - Matondo, Paciencia

After Favre shat the bed with his needless dropping of Bürki and then Hitz messed up even worse, Bürki is back

god only knows what Dahoud is doing starting this game

Reyna hard-on from Favre continues, not sure whether Hazard or Reus shouldnt be in there ahead of the kid

I think Favre is nearing that time of each of his tenures again where he starts self sabotaging with needless and stupid manoevers like benching players for no reason at the worst possible times

will never forget how he benched Hertha's captain Arne Friedrich out of the blue, with 3 games to go in the league, and Hertha well on their way to CL quali, only to then bottle it

Haaland has had a really poor game, as well. He hasn’t seen the ballmuch, but his few shots have been poor, and even his first touches. Dortmund are lucky to be in the lead, because they looked like the underdog during the first 15 minutes.

Just as I wrote that, Haaland scores with a right footed lob over the goalie. Looks like Schalke are predictably running out of steam after running for their lives at the start.
