I would 100% loan him back to Sevilla tbh. If I sold him I would have the option to buy him back in the clauses. Decent LBs are scarce these days. Madrid will regret this.

Banega, a player who could be one of the best CMs of his generation, yet he rarely stepped up his game. I wish he just put 10% more in.

Just saw Fernandes' pen....what a bizarre run up.

Effective, but quite bizarre.

United are pressing very well and forcing turnovers in Sevilla's half. Fred especially has been impressive with his interceptions and recovery work.

Predictably, the space behind Sevilla's full backs has been important. United should absolutely attack down their right, behind Reguilon, because Carlos is diving into everything. He's a walking second yellow with the way he's playing.

For Sevilla, Reguilon is having a fantastic game. Banega is going over to that side to overload with Ocampos and make the space. More players need to attack the box, though. It's only En-Nesyri most of the time. Suso despite his goal keeps hanging on the edge of the box. Similar for the other side with Navas. Regulon or Ocampos attack the back-post, but nobody comes to the near or offers themselves for the cut-back.

Hard to call where this goes. My predictions pre-game have been pretty good so far.

En-Nesyri wasn't doing much but De Jong is a downgrade either way. Ocampos is a bigger miss, he was creating lots of problems for United.

Meme players like Suso and Ocampos their main attacking threats? I've seen far more dangerous Sevilla teams in the past.

La Liga must have been really bad this season for them to qualify for CL

I would have preferred Vázquez to Jordán. He's been the weak link in Sevilla's midfield.
