You can do unlimited transfers before the September 12 deadline, after that you get one free transfer per week, additional transfers cost you -4 points.

Yeah you can change your team around unlimited until the league starts, then one free change a week (basically yu can always change your team as you like but it deducts points). Nothing to do with the actual real life transfer window.

And if you don't use your free transfer during one match week, you have two free transfers the next match week.
You can't amass more than 2 free transfers though, one expires  after that.

And you also have two wildcards you can play, one in each half of the season, where you can completely change your team at will for free (within budget restraints of course).

And one joker card called Free Hit with which you can completely change your team for one match day only

I played for the first time ever the season before last season. First thing I had to figure out that it's not actually about having a good team, just about picking players who collect points.

It's really easy tbh. Just get a cheap GK, all of Mane Aubameyang and De Bruyne (or a placeholder for first game week) and then fill hte rest up with Leeds and Fulham no names

For striker obviously Werner is the no brainer

I can PM you my team but that wouldn't be fun lol. it isn't that hard. try going cheap on defense, also you don't need three premium forwards.

i don't really go for big names. Prefer to find the hidden gems. But the prices are too high for most.

3 arsenal players is a must for me for a start.

Trying it again now and can't decide for a GK. Massive shame Dean henderson left SU.

McCarthy-Nyland is the best cheap GK combination.

McCarthy is 4.5 and has great fixtures and Nyland is the only 4m GK that's likely to start due to Tom Heaton's injury.

If Martinez is our no 1 then he is comfortably the best 4.5 GK in the list. But no idea what Arteta plans.

Bruno fernandes for 10.5 is laughable

I wouldn't fill up my team with City and United players tbh, them not having matches in the first week will put you in a disadvantage from the start.

Just make sure you have enough funds to bring them in the next week.

Shaqiri still 6.5m when he played 2 matches all last season.

No info. There were talks of Martinez leaving but then there were reports of him signing a new contract.

Havertz 8.5, yeah no way I pass on that
