Horford must be one of the worst contracts in the league. Three more years at 27 mil per year, yikes.

Overall we played a lot better and won while comfortably leading the entire game. Despite the Magic somehow shooting 31 free throws to our 16. Absolutely insane when you take a look at how many points in the paint we score, and how reliant on jumpshooting the magic were. I'm glad it wasn't a close game so I can say without that much bias that the refs were godawful.

So, what next for Philly? They ain't winning shit while paying Harris and Horford over 60 mil per year. Philly went real fast from a "bright future" to "burdened by terrible contracts".

They still have both Simmons and Embiid. With some competent draft picks/trades, they'll be a threat in the East for years to come. However, they've definitely closed their window some with those terrible contracts, and Embiid and Simmons both have yet to prove they can stay fit and healthy for a whole year, which is cause for concern.

At the end of the day, they still have two all-star, probably all-nba caliber players. I think they'll be OK. They need a new coach and quickly, though.

Hadn‘t seen this dude Luguentz Dort before, but he‘s done an incredible job on James Harden in this series. Offensively he‘s meh but damn defensively he‘s locked Harden like I haven‘t seen since Andre Roberson.

Somehow Kyle Kuzma turned into an elite defender. He’s at 79 def rating in the playoffs in 75 minutes.

Also Alex Caruso has a +21 rating. He’s so good. Almost the perfect role player. Hate that people think he’s nothing but a meme. He’s legitimately a great player

Barely played this season for OKC (think he's played like 30 games) was an undrafted Canadian baller, hope he does well, reminds me of similar player to OG can be huge for our national side.

Nick Nurse also won coach of the year, amazing. His story to get to this level is amazing.

One thing watching this series I feel he holds on to the ball too much and time just winds down I'm not sure if this is down to tactics or lack of player movement around him etc. But it's hurt them a lot this series.

There’s been one post about the trade. And yes it was terrible.

Well they did it for Paul George. Kawhi not going there unless Playoff Pee was just spin and Clippers could’ve easily called his bluff. Their team would’ve been much scarier without him.

Kawhi was never joining us. At least that’s what everyone says when they want to clown the Lakers, and he sure as hell wasnt staying in Canada. Because if he wanted that, that was his best option from the start.

So what was his alternative if the Clippers declined to trade all their assets for a low tier all star without a single memorable performance?

I'm not a Paul George fan, and don't particularly like the guy even, but didn't he finish 3rd in MVP voting last year? Or was that two years ago?

Either way, the guy looked like one of the best wings in the league, and has (imo, inconsistently) looked like that for years now.

He's been an all star 6 times, and he was first team all-nba as well as first team all defense last year.

Calling him a "low tier all star without a single memorable performance" isn't correct, although the trade was definitely a huge overpay. I fuckin love Gallo
