Re: Calcio Saga 19/20
Reality is : Milan are 3 years behind this Inter.
Gattuso: Mancini = Giampaolo : De Boer = Pioli : Pioli
Everything is at its place, so it means Spalletti will be Milan coach in June 2020.

Re: Calcio Saga 19/20
Pioli pretty much official.
We've basically acquired another coach who can be extracted for his positives yet once again has basically accomplished close to a grand sum of fuck all in his managing career.
At least Giampansy has the will for an attacking mindset.
Pioli is not negative by any means but simply does not prioritize that and has nothing distinct about him.

Thanks.
Anyway Sensi has been really great
Not because Rabiot earns 6 times more than him it means French is a better player

Pioli... Are Milan even trying to get better? Just stick with Giampaolo if you're gonna hire Pioli. Spalletti I'd understand. Robes is right, Milan looks just like Inter.
And Spalletti was the man to take us one step forward and create the foundation for what we have now with Conte.

Brozovic 2017 - 2019 = great player. Basically our most improved player
i can relate to that XD
i seriously hope people dont come out and say later on that brozovic is overrated... he is NOT ... he is a quietly a very good and consistent performer

So you pay them off to set them free. Usually clubs prefer that coaches find a new job right away so they dont have to pay the full length of the contract. At that point its up to club and coach to negotiate.
looks like there was a negotiation in place to release pioli that his lawyer was asking to pay full length upfront but inter were like if u resign we will give you 2 million ... instead of paying up remaining like 3 years worth 4.5 m a year

Re: Calcio Saga 19/20
The trying out the Milan icons of the last generation experiment finally has ended but at least there was the excitement of hoping Leonardo to Seedorf to Pippo to Gattuso could add something completely unprecedented.
Giampaolo turned out to be a man who's attacking philosophy is attacking in environments with not half as much pressure within their provinciale quarters.
It is admirable he stuck to a 4-3-1-2 with a high line and central pressing when it came to his irrelevant past clubs and even with Milan yet within our club it came with a constant hesitance and only when it was far less risky to use, otherwise coaxing his system back into a shell which gave no direction or identity to players under a storm like we faced versus Inter's Conte.
Let alone literally any team we faced.
Pioli is even less exciting because like Giampaolo who was literally the poor man's Sarri, is a KNOWN quantity.
What in the fuck is he going to bring to our table? "Good with our youth" is not enough given our primavera is not exactly churning out consistent talent and no the hype of many Milanisti who are casuals as they come, is not worth anything to go about given these fans hyped fucking Petagna because he looks like Luis Ronaldo and is a CF.
Pioli may "steady the ship" but when or if he does, he will steady an already stagnant ship and that will further anchor us into the results have been the norm for us: Europa League qualification.
Hence why even over Giampansy this has to be the most underwhelming managerial appointment since Mihajlovic if not worse given Miha is a lion and demands the best out of his players.
Pioli is merely an above average coach but out of his depth despite our current crisis.

I think he is above average. He is a good coach. He still has to learn how to control his emotions and stuff but I see a lot of Conte in him. Poor man's Conte?

Re: Calcio Saga 19/20
As a coach indeed I do not rate him as he is marginally above average than just merely average. But he has not produced what is a memorable string of results let alone a season beyond maybe one, as well as a distinct identity of his teams for me to place him as a manager I rate.
But as a man? 10/10. He is an absolute lion. Outspoken, intelligent, fierce and extremely strong willed. Seriously, he is one hell of a character.
And I truly believe or hope he will get through his leukemia and already is making good progress.

Re: Calcio Saga 19/20
He has little else than yelling at his players 24/7. Nothing to do with a poor man's Conte. Mihajlovic doesn't show much attention to detail or tactics. Torino was greatly improved by going for Mazzarri.
He is good at Bologna.

Yes he is at same level as Donadoni ( in China now)
After Catania, Bologna, Sampdoria, Milan, Torino, Bologna we can draw a line and say he's a mid-table manager

Weird black-out, outclassed Sassuolo for 70', then Lazaro enter pitch, garbage time, but Sassuolo scores immediately ( because of same Lazaro) and after 10' that 3-4
In this football you can't be sure even for a double advantage, looking at Atalanta yesterday , or Juve 'd have tied 3-3 if Koulibaly didn't get that incredible own-goal after they were winning 3-0
Sassuolo is our bogey team, we've more losses than wins against us, we 'd not have won against us for 5 matches, so I can be just glad

I remember days when we used to put 7 past them every time, even in our shittiest years. Then Consigli started turning into Lev Yashin every time.

Re: Calcio Saga 19/20
Attacking shape looks good.
Theo and Conti playing high and wide as they should. A double pivot of Biglia and Kessie can cover their backs.
Hakan and Suso coming in narrow trying to combine with Paqueta who is playing as a 10.
The 4-2-3-1 seems like a logical shape. Not much of a fan of the personnel though. Jack needs to be starting.

yep...
with biglia / kessie just staying in back without being too adventurous and letting paqueta / calhanouglu and suso being upfront is getting some good understanding between them... i cant remember we registered this much of shots or chances created.
hernandez on width is getting plenty of spaces too
you will never hear anyone say calhanoglu being the best player so far
i have to say i am pretty content so far with the first half - good understanding in build up, plenty of shots, collaborating well from the back... kessie should just stay at the back and stop thinking he is a forward or a winger... he is actually doing well helping biglia

Re: Calcio Saga 19/20
man im so glad real gave us theo .... cant remember we had LWB this good since like serginho or when kaladze was playing as LB. he has good room for improvement and chance to become a very good fullback for both club and country.
its just that sometimes he runs so fast and i feel like he is going to tangle or someone mistimes tackle and he will be out for months...
