Right! I get Lex's sneaky feeling, I had that for a brief moment but the reality is Utd are really terrible and usually, terrible teams continue being terrible regardless of the circumstances.

With that said, 1-0 to Utd and about 4 VAR decisions going against Liverpool.

The "things go out the window" stuff is honestly BS.

99.9% of the time it's nonsense but people repeat it every year regardless.

It's not. There is always more motivation in this game from the home team. Everton vs Liverpool another example.

Yet you still win the large majority of the time.

There's no evidence to suggest it's not BS.

We've won once in the past 6 league meetings across 3 years. That game as well we struggled until Shaqiri scored 2 real big fluke goals to win it 3-1.

Edit: Even if we go 10 PL games back to 2014, this 3-1 is still our only win against United in the PL.

No idea where you get this majority.

Lots of draws and Manchester United wins over the last 5 years though that actually makes sense as United finished higher than Liverpool for 3/5 of these seasons and it was only last season that Liverpool was clearly the better team. Well and the one Liverpool win happened last year.

Tbf the data actually supports the theory that nothing crazy happens just cause United play Liverpool and if that's true Liverpool should trash United this season :coffee:

Exactly lol, it's nonsense and very rare the team not in form actually wins.

Yet people continue to push it every year because nobody pushes back on the BS.

At Anfield.

We've finished above United 3 times as well in the past 5 years and we've been unable to break down United. Mostly because of Mourinho. I expect a win but I am a pessimist.

Well-placed sources are adamant the 46-year-old retains the support of Woodward and the Glazer family.

Woodward said last month the club needed to be patient and it is understood that even a heavy defeat at home to Liverpool on Sunday would not change the situation.

Spare a thought for Arsenal/Sheffield United fans, who have to wait until Monday night. Mad

Monday night games are the worst.

Everton 1-0.

Bernard passes up the easier looking chance, somehow turns around in the box and finishes from an impossible angle. Keeper's positioning looked suspect.

All this talk of Marco Silva being bad, but his Everton are the league's under-performers so far thanks to bad finishing.

ok maybe Villa vs Brighton will be more interesting after all than Ian Blackford shouting for the 4th time within 2 hours in the exact same words that "Scotland has been absolutely and utterly shafted".

These Scots, I don't know, can't take anyone with this accent seriously, sorry. What a dumb accent. It's only charming in very few cases, in most cases it's a bit dumb. In some it's both.

Walcott's movement has been so good so far. Like he's 25 again tbh.

Iwobi's picked up the ball in good spaces but is trying to dribble his way through everything.

Richarlison has been selfish all half.

West Ham have been non-existent. They're definitely the easiest team to play against in that mid-table group.

Everton playing their best game of football this season. Still nothing special for their standards though. Should probably have created more chances with the amount of space they've had in the West Ham half.

West Ham have done absolutely nothing lol.
