Mike van Beijnen - the son of Frenkie de Jong's agent - leaves Barcelona B without playing a SINGLE MINUTE... just six months after signing a deal with a €100MILLION release clause! https://t.co/oXs2CkrT7J

Info @RMCsport: #Arsenal opened discussions with Layvin #Kurzawa free in June. The PSG player has a proposal for a contract in June. Arteta validated the track. If the need arises, Arsenal could even make an offer to #PSG at the end of the january market

The way things are going, he'll end up like Bale.

I agree though, anything more than that would be ridiculous and he's a gamble

Think like S said management won't let him go because of his 'star power' even though he's mediocre on the pitch. We'll extend him and he will leave on a free to PSG, Atleti or Serie A in a few years.

Pogba can only dream of getting even remotely near the club achiements of Bale. To be fair to Bale, he’s been absolutely decisive in key games against top opposition. Even if you go back to Pogba’s time at Juve, where the team was practically designed for his benefit, he ghosted through the CL games that are worth mentioning. Fast forward a couple of years, and nothing has changed. He’s produced his most memorable moments against an out of form City once in the cup, and Arsenal. Yep, just Arsenal.

Exactly. I think if we price him at 70-80M, we'll get some people interested (even with players to bring down the price) but our board seem intent of slapping an unrealistic fee on him. It's dumb. He will end up doing feck all again for his remainder here and leaving on a free, sapping up big wages while doing so.
very frustrating situation

That's not actually true. I remember Pogba being among the best, at times the single best, Juve player in a number of CL knock out games.
He also was the match winner in the Europa League final for Man Utd, easily the biggest game the club has had post Ferguson.
I do agree that in his current state, he doesn't look like an attractive player to buy, but that's mainly not because of how he plays, but because he doesn't play at all.

Have you ever watched him play for Man United, outside of that EL final? I didn’t watch him play all that much for Juve, but he was a massive letdown in their CL match against Real Madrid, and I remember being disappointed when I watched him in one of their matches before that one, as well. I gave him the benefit of the doubt then, due to how little I’d seen of him, but I’m only left with doubt at this point in time.
He’s clearly a unique talent who can produce moments of brilliance on occasion, but his inconsistency and general lack of productivity for Man United has often been overshadowed by incredibly flattering statistics. I’ve watched almost every single one of his performances for them, and despite how talented he is, he simply isn’t consistently productive enough to warrant the lingering star tag.
His peak performances are a joy to watch, but they’re not frequent enough to matter, particularly considering how he typically performs against top opposition. He’s an outright liability at his absolutely lowest level of performance, and his average level isn’t anything to write home about. When was the last time you saw him perform well in the CL? I was actually surprised at how well he played in the first leg against PSG, but they ultimately managed to advance without him, and I think they would’ve fared better if they had dropped him against Barcelona. Bottom line, I genuinely admire his talent, but with how unpredictable his performance level is, I wouldn’t want him to play for a team that I support. I’m not convinced that he’s a reliable asset at club level.

Question marks over his CL performances aside, he’s a got a lot to prove in terms of making himself useful over the course of a long league season. It’s not as if Man United have suffered from his absence this season.

Only in his last season did he become an icon and the only knockout game we played then was against Bayern, and Pogba was awesome.

Also the "who is Pogba" comment is a killer. Could you imagine Perez saying that of MBAPPE? Reports about him not wanting Pogba might be that grounded in truth

For all the criticism Mbappe receives on here, it’s really hard to argue that he wouldn’t be an asset to any team. He’s still a kid, he has tons of potential, and unlike Pogba, he puts in the effort on a regular basis. He’s marketable, as well. I can’t imagine Perez would have any reason to write him off with a comment like that
