I'm officially in, if that wasn't obvious.

One bad week kept me from a championship last season tbh. I'm bringing it all home this year.

And let me say this too: I can't wait to see what kind of excuses we get from EG this year

I'll have to think about it.

What is the deadline to sign up?

Everyone from last year are already signed up lol.

I just need to remove those who won't play this year and add who will.

Also settle on an exact time.

if my team is inferior purely because of performance, you won't.

But that won't even be the case, as I'm on a mission to prove a few people wrong this season by winning the whole thing with Kevin Love, you included of course.

Love will be a fantasy dream if he stays healthy, that team literally has nothing else.

I'd be shocked if he doesn't get traded at some point.

He'll play like 40 games and be injured during fantasy playoffs.

Not like that last past is going to be an issue for ElG anyways

i like this energy. He'll probably go in the third round of the draft, so can i please just ask all to leave him for me.

you'll get the hang of it quickly, just stick around. Yahoo fantasy offers some mock drafts as well for you to familiarise yourself with the draft procedure.

I had no clue what I was doing either last season as I joined at the last min but just ask questions in this thread and click the button that sets your lineup each week and you'll be good, and learn all of the things you need to relatively quickly.

As someone who played NBA fantasy for the first time last year, I'd say there are four things that help:

1. Do a couple of (10 person because we are ten) mock drafts to get the hang of it. Will also help to get an idea of what caliber players will go in which rounds.

2. Winning categories (I think it was nine different ones, points, rebounds, shooting % etc) is how the game works. Think beforehand in which areas you'd like to be strong. Like, do you want to draft guys who score or rebound or assist a lot. Getting a bit of everything isn't necessarily the best way.

3. Take a look at players' stats from last season and try to figure out who is going to improve, decline and produce the same (whether the reasons being age, new team or a different role).

4. Tell Vibe to fuck off if he's sending you a trade proposal every day.

I slept through the draft, ended up with a bunch of autopicked numpties and I nearly won the regular season, went to the wire. I am actually thinking about sleeping again for the challenge of it.

Though it was a major help LG gave me Kyrie and TJ Warren for CJ McCollum Surey Kyrie averaged 3 points per game at that point but that was always gonna change FFS

bru that deal might have helped you a lot, especially because TJ Warren for some reason turned out to be such a good fantasy rewards player. I didn't think anything of him when i made that deal.

I fully believed in the Celtics:" disjointedness at that point, and i might have been a bit rash i admit, i missed out on assists and a few steal definitely. But i don't think i missed out that much at the end, i might have won one more categories here and there, but no one big difference.

My biggest undone-ing was injuries, i picked my team so wisely to win at least 5-4 against most opposition, and i believe there was a good chance i could have been successful all the way through if it wasn't for so many injuries.

I've played a little near the end last season with some relatives, so I do have an understanding of how it works.

The question is how does the drafting work with you guys? As well as the point system for the players?

There will be a draft on the last Sunday before the season starts. Everyone should try to get online at the agreed upon time for the draft.

I don't understand what you mean by the second question

It's a snake draft, not auction or normal draft order. I guess that's what he's asking.

Point system isn't really something in basketball, like it is in NFL fantasy.

It's just about amassing total stats in the nine categories we've listed before.

There's 9 categories

PTS, 3PTM, FG%, FT% REBS, ASS, STLS, BLKS and TOs

You build a team through the draft based on these and face one team each week.

Your goal is to win 5 or more of the 9 categories, players not drafted will become FA as will players you drop to add more.
