Kompany was appointed player-manager at the Belgian club this summer after 11 years at Manchester City.

But Anderlecht have taken only two points from their first four league games - their worst start for 21 years.

Honestly he's lucky he's so shit. With Diego Jota reading that pass and sprinting towards Digne, even a successful pass (unless it was hit hard and not lofted, although obviously Gomes was trying to loft it) would have been in danger of being intercepted. Or at least putting Digne in a bind and potentially losing the ball.

Everton missed two huge chances and hit the post last night. Will probably consider themselves unlucky.

I haven't heard Villa Park be that loud in a long time, though. Shows that sometimes it's worth dropping down a level to start winning again and get the fans back onside.

Norwich/Chelsea the early kick-off today. Should be a good match, with Norwich flying after their win over Newcastle and Chelsea yet to win.
