i thought we are better than some scrub serie A team tbh. when we play these bums its like we are watching a re run of the same game over and over again. we play shit going forward we use a lot of energy and they score late goes and win. obviously klopp needs to try something different or we get the same outcome again. people are going on like napoli are some world class team. juve always smash the granny out of them and even arsenal under emery smashed the granny out of them ffs. i thought klopp getting turned over by bums was in the past ffs. i know a bum team can beat you if you have a off day but these bums are rolling us over time and time again.

we are the champions of europe and the 2nd best team in the history of EPL footbal and they are a 2nd rate italian team that plays at a time when italian football is about as strong as the french lge.

I understand Unique's emotions but I really dont care about the loss. In fact I think it would have a positive impact on our season going forward.

Nish likes to play the underdog card. Who's a better team than us ?

Because I am not convinced. We are unbeatable at Anfield and makes me put us at the top of the world but losing matches away? We lost to Napoli, PSG and Belgrade last year. Drew against Bayern and got destroyed against Barcelona. Lost the league away to United, Everton, West ham, Arsenal and Man City. Previous year again, destroyed against Roma in the second leg and we barely won any final before last CL.

Until we don't start winning games away, I will continue to reserve my doubts about this team and losing to Napoli should be bringing you down to Earth rather than me coming upto you guys

Napoli is not one entity where so many constants of last or two or four years ago equals what they are now.

Juventus beat 'the granny' out of them simply because Juventus have years of domestic confidence and winning experience and any calcio follower knows Napoli on their day can be amongst the most dangerous teams out there but are just known chokejobs.

No really they can dominate a team for 2 legs but cost themselves due to a generally weak mentality in 2 minutes conceding 4 goals.

Napoli literally is a team that either plays or they do not. Very bi-polar team in that regard.

Against Arsenal it was a weakened team and they never play well in Europa league due to their presidents attitude and command not to prioritise that competition. I do not agree with that, for instance but it is how it is and with Italian teams generally to EL.

Carlo regularly schools managers in Champions League as he has won 3 of them with two different teams and one final from us ourselves which was a hair's length in going to his favour.

Matches like these do happen and inversely like last year we learned a lot from that Napoli 1-0 loss last season and used to to spur a magical run in CL.

the problem we have by losing to napoli time and time again is we will end up with a inferiority complex against them and if we do that and meet them in a knock out tie we are gone. with everyone fit and on form we are the best team in europe but we seem to make hard work with this team. we seem like we dont fancy going toe to toe with them. we seem to go there looking for a draw imo. we need to say who the fuck are they and go 100% at them. dont spar with them just ruin them.

We lost, no big deal. Yes, we didn't play particularly well and hopefully Klopp will sort things out. Lets move on shall we, it's September FFS.


On a different note, is it just me or is our defense (sans the GK) looks a bit brittle so far this season?


On another note, Adrian made 2-3 great save in Naples. He isn't an absolute scrub I suppose.

I think Gomez might come in for Robbo. If the front three fail again, I hope Klopp at least tries to change the game by making subs. Shaqiri is a huge mystery to me honestly.

We are TOO dependent on The Front Three. In fact Klopp haven't tried anything since he got his hands on them. It always pays to have alternatives.

Naby Keita is targeting a return to match action in the Carabao Cup clash with Milton Keynes Dons on Wednesday night.

The Liverpool midfielder has been sidelined since sustaining a hip strain before the UEFA Super Cup final in Istanbul last month.

Keita returned to first-team training on Friday but Jürgen Klopp explained the trip to MK Dons is a more realistic comeback than today’s Premier League meeting with Chelsea.

“He is close but the matchday squad is not yet the target,” said the Reds boss. “It is a few sessions training with the team.

“We’d only put him in [at Chelsea] if we didn’t have enough players but I hope we will have enough players for the matchday squad. Wednesday is the target I will say and then we will see.

We are also waiting for Ox to hit full form.

Klopp has basically used the same set of players so far this season. Here's the playing time for 10 outfield players out of possible 840 mins:

Let's put this in context that:

#1. Most of these players had a busy NT schedule during off-season.

#2. All of these players had an exhausting 2018-19 season.

#3. Most of these players had a busy WC schedule during off-season.

#4. All of these players had an exhausting 2017-18 season.

If Klopp truly considers the likes of Shaqiri or Ki-Jana Hoever as adequate then use them. If you don't have enough confidence on them then get some good back-ups.

You mean him returning for the 1536th time only to get injured after 2 games again? He looks like the new Diaby tbh

Keita type of player was so badly needed yesterday in midfield for the last 30 minutes.

I just hope Klopp starts using the depth before someone from starting XI gets injured.
