Good draw. Would have wanted Real but we play against Napoli again who cause us more problems than we'd like.

Good draw for us. Wanted as easy group as possible. Mind you, we might still struggle to finish first in the group but at least we will be able to rotate players either on weekdays or on weekends.

Best thing about this group is the lack of tedious and potentially cumbersome travels.

Salah is getting ridiculous with selfishness, it's like every time he gets the ball near the box he puts his head down and only looks to score, even from crazy positions when he has free teammates. I understand Mane's frustrations, him and Bobby are really selfless players and so hardworking in defence, while a lot of times Salah just tries to score even if he has free teammates, he thinks he's CR or something lmao

Mane is not selfless. The only reason he has a problem with this is because he is as selfish if not more. Let's not forget Mane is not even close to Salah in terms of assists (Not that it's a huge relevant measure but Salah assists Mane more)

Alright Mane is not selfless in all situations, but no forward in the world is except Bobby Firmino. But you're saying he's more selfish than Salah? Wtf? Salah looks more selfish than prime CR without having half the skill CR had. When Salah decides to shoot, he will always shoot even if he runs into dead end situation and his teammates are free, he's frustrating to watch many times if he hasn't scored a goal he won't pass, and assists as a statistic can be skewed.. Just look at the amount of defensive work Mane does and you expect him to be better in G+A as well? He's a better player than the ballhog Salah imo

Ironically Salah's best season was when he wasn't selfish in 2017/18, but even then remember when he needed 1 goal to break PL record and how selfish he was the next 5 games chasing that 1 goal? That was another level, that football was painful to watch

And from last season he started goal chasing and hasn't stopped til now. He's ball hogging like prime Kobe. If he had better decision making we could have like 2 or 3 more clear cut chances every game and he would score more as well, instead of shootig from every possible and impossible positions

I am just saying both of them are very selfish, which is expected considering 0 help/goals from midfield and Firmino is a guy who tells you that you are perfect even if you know your flaws.

I am just not putting Salah up on that pedestal alone (I said if not more). We were 2-0 up with Mane and Firmino scoring with Salah trying, I have lost count when Mane tried to be that third when Salah and Firmino scored. They are both very selfish and we've seen frustration from both sides, hell i'd bet we can find enough evidence where Salah is more frustrated with Mane not teeing up mostly because Salah's chances are usually in isolation whereas Mane plays deeper hence more he usually has more options when his chance comes.

I am just worried that they both need to understand we still need to win trophies and the CL doesn't put Liverpool below their personal goals.

Also I think its a myth Salah doesnt work as hard. Always double or triple marked, always forced to drops or create his own pockets of space to receive and do something while opening the play for the other two. I also rememeber reading he has the highest chance creation and dribbles.

With Firmino dropping deep, Salah is a forward, I cant say he isn't working as much as Mane just because Mane doesn't fulfill the role Firmino leaves as good as him. One of them had to be more forward and Salah owns it.

Ye I went a bit overboard criticizing Salah. He's still a great player, but imagine what he could do if he had better decision making in those situations where he just decides to shoot or go on a solo run and not see anyone else. He's just forcing it too much in some situations.

Mane also can be selfish, but Salah does that stuff pretty much every game. Our forwards need to play for eachother and that way everyone will score more goals

That's why we need another accomplished forward. Origi/Shaqiri are too average to put even an itch in their (Mane, Salah) balls. Firmino is like the exasperate parent caught between to feuding siblings. On the flip-side, it's good that both have the hunger to be the top dog. It's good if it's managed properly. I guess Klopp got a job at hand.

Seven games in 21 days in Sep-Oct before the October Break. Hoping for no major injuries and lots of rotation.

Back tomorrow and I am glad its at Anfield.
