2018/19 Schrodinger's Fraud
The purpose of this thread is to examine talents or players whomst've had a cracking season this year (or seemingly so) but deep down you know they just had a fluke season.
Nico Barella
Called up by Mancini for a few games, Italian press are hot on him. Dubbed as the Italian Nainggolan, even plays for Cagliari. Has a 40m release clause.
Yet everytime i see him in action, he's dispossessed, his first touch is 5 yards ahead of him. Tackle merchant, has a conversion rate of 2.5% (lowest in Serie A). I suppose that goal for the Azzurri will grant him a brief respite. However, i maintain that he is nothing more than a mediocre talent. A less-souped Nocerino.

Yeah Barella is overhyped as hell
I think we sign him too, Cagliari rumours have reported this for months

Re: 2018/19 Schrodinger's Fraud
Ryan Fraser and Wilfried Zaha, both supposed Arsenal targets.
Fraser has had his best season and ranks high in assists and chances created, but can't dribble or pass that well despite playing in an offensive team. A cross/set-piece merchant, basically.
Zaha always get talked up as a target for big clubs whenever he's in form, but he's a classic case of pace/power/skill with no intelligence or consistency. No better than Alex Iwobi. Palace are asking for £60m+.

Zaha probably is worth 60m to Palace, though. Even if he's not good enough to start for a big team, he's a valuable difference maker for midtable teams.
Solanke was supposed to be a good talent, but isn't good enough even for Bournemouth. Like a second Ibe, lol. So many players just stay forever at the level they were at 18-years-old.

I want to say he isn't all that, but that Fio team is just horrible. Haven't won a match since February, almost relegation zone. He's dribbles a lot, and shoot way too much from outside the box for my liking. He's not the incisive passing type. At best, decent i'd say imo. But knowing Fio, they will make you bleed if you want to get him.

Midfielder for Cagliari, hyped up as one of the best young Italian talents.
