Rondo's had a great career without a jumpshot. Lonzo has a better stroke than Rondo ever has, not to mention potentially better defense (if not already there).

Lonzo will be an all-star at some point imo. It's not super surprising his mould of player takes a little bit of time to get used to the league, especially with his unorthodox mechanics and all of the pressure that came with BBB and his dad

Yeah I think worst case scenario Lonzo has a 12-13 year career unless he is cripled because of injury.

I think his defense and passing is too good to not have a roster spot as long as he want. He's also insanely fast, but his timing lacks when he has to transition from running to jumping.

I think he'll become a star in year 5-6, when he's fixed the minor of his issues. Question is if he'll be on here by then.

Teams that might miss the playoffs because they play in the West conference, but would have serious chances to make it if they played in the East

- Kings
- Blazers
- Jazz
- Pelicans
- Rockets

And i'd even add the Timberwolves. Their problem is the coach who doesn't use his best players to their potential.
Rose-Wiggins-Covington-Saric-Towns... this is a strong line-up... why not play them as starting 5 lol ?

Don’t like that lineup at all. Also always found Wolves’ roster overrated. Trash trade they made for Butler. Incredible by Thibs.

Wiggins is trash, the rest aren't based on this season.

Although Rose can't play heavy minutes anymore so i wouldn't start him, being a 6MOTY contender is a nice role for him.

In the East they would make the playoffs with this squad

I can understand why Timberwolves didn't want 4 draft picks, as a franchise it means your gonna tank for a few years. In that case you waste Towns prime years so why not trade him as well.

Now at least they got 2 B players to surround Towns and they try to achieve something. Make the playoffs in the stacked West would be an achievement to build on.

Making the East playoffs isn't much of an achievement though.

The bottom of the East is terrible, at least the top is way better now though and not LeBron vs bums.

It doesn't mean you have to tank. Boston made the exact same trade (kinda) with Brooklyn, and they didn't have to tank.

I was not big on Minnesota trading for a fringe all star in the beginning, and I don't know if that ever works really. But I won't harp to much more on that.

Yes if you can trade him, you have to do it.

Covington has clearly had an impact and Towns has been way better since the trade so you build around him.

But everyone else is very expendable.

His contract basically is the perfect contract to match in a trade, which was why a lot of people assumed he'd be traded eventually.

It's his best pass by far. He's so good at it, and once he (hopefully) gets a good 3 point shot it'll be such an attribute when defenders have to fully commit to closing out on him
