Wow... randomly came across this n just read some of the first posts... from far away France always gave me the impression of entitled, well off citizens, with many rights n relaxed life style... so a lot of it was down to gov subsidies that were not managable long term? So is it fair to say that in the past the policies were too 'good' for the citizens n short term view?

Sorry if Im getting things wrong, but complex n never knew much about France in detail Razz

Basically Macron's heavy-handed "shock therapy" didn't work and the people are fed up with him.

With the parliament in full gridlock i think he will be forced to resign.

Havent read up everything but as per earlier posts above... initially as least Macron tried to 'balance' things our compared with the past though knowing things are too good to continue like they were n werent sustainable right?

But yea apart from that a lot of things looking negative for him for a while now...
