Bentancur is a hero for benching Khedira. Our midfield was finally dynamic with him as starter.

I guess the pictures of Max in Bentancur's iPhone are more compromising than the ones Khedira already owns from last year.

I like that he’s being trusted in the bigger moments, whether that’s because of necessity or choice, the result is the same.

He’s continued on from a good World Cup and improved leaps and bounds from last season. I’m not sure who is compare him to, maybe a poor man’s Marchisio when Marchisio played with Pirlo and Vidal? I’d stress the poor version part though as Marchisio is legit better than him at everything

He has a great engine and plays like someone with much bigger experience, his passing is spot on, and very good at rebounds and chasing the ball. Needs to improve his shooting though, it's horrendous. Needs some private lessons with the GOAT

The parts about his game that is underrated is his work rate and tracking back. It is so refreshing to see a midfielder that is athletic that works hard and offers more zip then having the static and bang average Khedira. He is very young I am not sure I can see him having " champion " midfield ability like Pogba or a prime Iniesta etc but he does the basics well, keeps it neat and has a winning mentality.

In my opinion he is not a superstar but he is a very reliable hard working player and is very well rounded

Agree 100 Percent with the analysis. He is young and I am not sure I see another pogba in him but he always puts in a 6-8/10 performance every week and isn't as slow as khedira so he will do for now because we dont have a superstar in midfield apart from pjanic
