Rodrigo de Paul Empty Rodrigo de Paul

Post by Hapless_Hans Sun 2 May 2021 - 19:30

Been often mentioned by @Robespierre, @Rincon and also the Milan lads as a quality player.
Turning 27 in May, watching him today you can't help but feel he deserves to be at a bigger club. Not that there's anything wrong with playing for Udinese.

Will he move this summer? Who is interested? How much would Udine want?
It couldn't be so little, seeing his contract is until 2024.

All big clubs in Italy are linked, he is a stud. We are strongly linked but Udinese is rumored to price everyone out for him.

Rodrigo de Paul Empty Re: Rodrigo de Paul

Yes, I remember to have talked about him with BC, I rate him , BC not because he prefers Lanzini or Paredes

De Paul was born as CAM.
His performance 've improved much since he 's been 'relegated' as midfielder , so yes, exactly same role of Paredes, but he can also score goals.
In fact in this season he even scored 8 goals , in addition to a good number of assists.

Of course he's nothing to do with Udinese levels.

he's not easy to take him because Udinese is a selling club, okay, but they overprice their players.

that's reason why he was so close to Leeds this year, but at the end Udinese refused it , and De Paul disliked this choice by his club.
He should be grateful for it though, he can get a better club than Leeds,

I did ,but I'll be honest and say I've barely watched him play in years (and barely watched football at all this year) ,so I'll take your word for it when you say he's slaying .

This is the most interesting thing about him. Ideal profile for a mezzala, not a "weak" AM, he contribute on all phases and he has very good technique and vision.

He would be a big improvement for the role we give to McKennie and Ramsey at the moment.

Took another step this year or so it seems

He was always legit player who he is implicated, not some slob like Bentancur, puts the effort, has offensive flashes, he is noticeable in a game. Definitely better than everything we have at this position.

There's a reason he's 27 and plays for Udinese: he's only good, but nothing special, and he has mental breakdowns, just like yesterday. Not only he gave up that silly penalty, but just a couple of minutes later he committed a foul that would have been another dangerous free kick and a second yellow for him. Luckily for him, the ref let it go

i have reservations for de paul about him being really one of the best in serie a but i have to say this season is arguably his best. but at the same time he has his heated moments or times when he just disappears into the game.

still way better player than what we have now though 40 million price tag is a bit of a stretch. maybe 30-32 million is alright

Atletico often make good signings, and seem to have again, will definitely keep an eye on him. Anyone who helps win Messi a NT trophy should be considered a legend Razz

Often make good signings, lol. Yeah I'm going against the trend here, don't see anything special about de Paul aside from a can do attitude and regular good footballing skills.

Has a nice pass too. Had em at Valencia and Gary motherfucking Neville sends him back to Racing... Still it's nice to see he's become a good player now. Nothing wrong with a player who shows up in the big games.

Just opened GL to write about De Paul

This might be my first atletico match this season, it really reminded of what a perfect signing he would have been for us

One of GL golden boys for some weird reason because he does very little for Atleti and maybe has a decent match with Argentina once in a while.

Absolutely fucking overrated footballer.

You can’t rely on him to unlock a bus but man when they’re protecting a lead he’s everywhere. Passion merchant. Big step up today compared to the first two games
