There's no values to be passed on in regards to this award. Besides, our beautiful sport isn't about individualism, it's a team game.

The award becomes " a farce " and " irrelevant " the moment someone other than their favorite player wins it.

Honestly, the award is a farce and i don't care who wins it. Has been since FIFA took over... there were some farcical moments before then too obviously. But now, it's ridiculous.

Yes he did, 2001 Ballon D'or. Beat Raul and Oli Kahn too though I still feel it should have been Raul personally. That being said, Owen had an incredible year, worthy winner in hindsight
