Surprise you know him. He is incredibly talented but still not as popular as he should be.

Re: The Offical Rap Thread Part 3
Just really was pointed towards him by a mate last week, hadn't heard of him before, been listening to it a lot last days.
We are old, so our British rappers are people like Roots Manuva, Dizzee Rascal (don't think his stuff is great these days, I also just happened to listen to his last year album the other day), Flowdan and Wiley.
In fact, I'm a huge fan of Wiley, even though that's become a bit difficult to voice lately lol.
Anyway, I loved the first Ocean Wisdom album, it's a great listen, and it's got very obvious, but very well-made 90s retro vibes, the production sounds very 90s homage like (it's also called Chaos '93).
As someone who grew up with 90s hip hop, that's hitting close to home, and while I am generally pretty suspicious and wary of obvious musical retro acts, I thought he did it very convincingly and organically. And his rapping is awesome.
And 'Jungle' is a huge hit.
Also liked the mixtape though it sounds much more like all the usual current rap, which I think is also the point of it.
Obviously, I'm not sure what exactly he's talking about all the time as he talks far too fast for me to follow.
But that's also part of the allure of listening to English language rap for me, I don't have to actually fluently understand ALL of the rubbish they are talking, German hip hop is horrible for me, unbearable to actually hear all this BS said out loud lmao, and the meaning directly in my brain.
Haven't listend so much to the Whizville album yet, though it sounded great too on first hearing.
A fantastic track featuring Method Man on it, so I'm convinced right there.

Re: The Offical Rap Thread Part 3
his music was there in the background when i grew up
his energy was one of true representations of what real Hip Hop means... his rough, tough, raggedy voice was the icing on the cake

My favorite song of his
He also gave us some of the biggest bangers ever. To me it's a big loss similar to when P died few years ago. Hip-hop is a passion and a big part is gone.
