I seriously can't get over how much of a serial killer vibe he gives off just being himself
He is so monotone lol
Was perfect in Mr Robot for that reason alone

Heard good things about the film. Why does the title sound like a C rated direct to video film though lol?

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
Believe it's intentional. There's a lot about the movie that is like a homage to those old straight to video films. It's very good though and probably Vince Vaughn's best performance, that I've seen. He was also good in DAC.

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
Dragged Accross Concrete is one of the most badass movie titles ever. Bone Tomahawk is great a title as well. I agree about Brawl in Cell Block 99 though. Sounds so stupid.
But yeah I've also earmarked S. Craig Zahler and will be keeping an eye out for his work. Loved all 3 of his movies as well. DAC, my favorite.

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
Watched Fences.
Terrific film set in a closely knit story in 1950s Pittsburgh.
Cannot stress how good Denzel Washington really is and only learned John-David is his son, and clearly promising as noted by Freeza.
Viola Davis was just as good and the film played out like a play itself and it helped Denzel directed the film giving him far more a hand on how to redevelop the 2010 broadway.
Recommend it for anyone who can take the monologues in the African American vernacular for what they are and the films draws you into that without it being left out and more cinematically than you would expect, even if that takes away from the superbly weaved bond within the 'Fences' itself.

John Singleton just passed away at 51.
Talented man who made one of the iconic early 90s masterpieces with Boyz 'N the Hood. Incredible film.

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
I have loved virtually all of Singleton's work. Only one I didn't really care for was 2 Fast 2 Furious. Boyz N The Hood was more than a movie to me growing up. It was required watching. It's what made me a fan of Larry Fishburne and why I'll watch him in literally everything.
Baby Boy was another excellent piece from him. It was a movie with characters I could name from my own life coming up. Love the realism of that movie.
I was excited about Snowfall as soon as I saw Singleton's name associated with it. It didn't quite reach the heights I thought it could, but it was a super solid show that told a vital part of American history that doesn't get the attention it deserves. Had all of Singleton's specific touches.
Gonna miss him. Such an important voice for the black community here.

Climax (2018) - French film
8.5/10
So good. It's best to go into it totally blind. It's Gaspar Noe's film so you should know it's not for the faint hearted. Also has one of the greatest opening scenes I've ever seen.
