The Liberation of Slavezema

We've heard it all for years, "Benzema gave up his ambitions and career for Ronaldo", "He was a slave to Ronaldo's style of play", "DMzema", "He doesn't score goals because Ronaldo takes 23 shots per game and Benzema only 1".

Well, it's happened. He's free. He doesn't have to be the creator anymore, he doesn't have to drop deep anymore. He doesn't have to pretend he enjoys being a "false 9" or whatever the *bleep* that is.

Will he finally fulfill his potential and be the 30 odd goalscorer he promised to be early in his career or will he fall back and submit to Bale instead? We'll track it all here and I personally can't wait!
