All dates back to him signing Daryl Murphy, Jesus Gamez and the other guy Lazaar. Last two failures, they have taken a sizeable loss on. Along with Sels, I reckon Rafa has made three mistakes in the market, but look at the successes! It is a farce. Can’t find another description

Honestly, I struggle to get interested about any of the midfield clubs, but Newcastle & Rafa is certainly interesting. In past seasons there have been somewhat curious teams like hipsters Swansea and Bournemouth, West Ham with Payet there, Leicester's title-run, when Southampton were kinda cool and finished 6th and some sweet underdogs like Norwich and Reading... Now I look at the PL clubs - and maybe this is partly me - but I cannot find a reason to care about anyone outside the top-6. But Newcastle in this state with Rafa the manager is something I'll keep a keen eye on.

I'm not even Rafa mad, I think he had to go from Liverpool. I just recognise he's done a good job at Newcastle and currently holds decent value in the managers' market. His star is (slightly) on the rise and it's interesting to see where it goes.

He had a release clause in his contract( obviously it was the only way he'd agree to sign permanently) and he was home sick so wanted to go back to Sociedad.

Wolves and Fulham are interesting with their new signings and exciting players they already had (Neves, Sessegnon).

West Ham and Everton have nearly signed a new XI, will be interesting to see how they do, although it's not the first time they've done this, they now have good managers as well.

Wolves and Fulham are getting hype on the back of their Championship seasons and the fact they've signed some sexy foreigners. I'm not sold yet, I think it's more hype than substance.

It's easy to be in that sort of mood, I guess. But you should think of yourselves more as the midtable Tottenham, imo. You've got a decent XI that did well last season. No reason to think you couldn't replicate that.
