numpty clubs leaving things until the last seconds before moving, baffling
I expect next summer every league to change the window to end at the same time as GOAT league tbh

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
Poch says club have received no bids for their players today. On incoming players he said: "I think it's so difficult now. Only four hours to the end. I don't have news now. Sure it will be difficult. Until you finish the game you can't say it's the end. It will be difficult."

None of the big English clubs will be played like that lol.
Only mid table clubs are likely to sell players past today.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
All dates back to him signing Daryl Murphy, Jesus Gamez and the other guy Lazaar. Last two failures, they have taken a sizeable loss on. Along with Sels, I reckon Rafa has made three mistakes in the market, but look at the successes! It is a farce. Can’t find another description

I'm not even Rafa mad, I think he had to go from Liverpool. I just recognise he's done a good job at Newcastle and currently holds decent value in the managers' market. His star is (slightly) on the rise and it's interesting to see where it goes.

Hapless_Hans wrote:btw do I understand right that new-Xabi-Alonso Mikel Merino has been sold?
He had a release clause in his contract( obviously it was the only way he'd agree to sign permanently) and he was home sick so wanted to go back to Sociedad.

In past seasons there have been somewhat curious teams like hipsters Swansea and Bournemouth, West Ham with Payet there, Leicester's title-run, when Southampton were kinda cool and finished 6th and some sweet underdogs like Norwich and Reading... Now I look at the PL clubs - and maybe this is partly me - but I cannot find a reason to care about anyone outside the top-6. But Newcastle in this state with Rafa the manager is something I'll keep a keen eye on.
Wolves and Fulham are interesting with their new signings and exciting players they already had (Neves, Sessegnon).
West Ham and Everton have nearly signed a new XI, will be interesting to see how they do, although it's not the first time they've done this, they now have good managers as well.

Wolves and Fulham are getting hype on the back of their Championship seasons and the fact they've signed some sexy foreigners. I'm not sold yet, I think it's more hype than substance.
Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:Not sure what's interesting about us lol, none of our own fans even give a shit.
It's easy to be in that sort of mood, I guess. But you should think of yourselves more as the midtable Tottenham, imo. You've got a decent XI that did well last season. No reason to think you couldn't replicate that.
