JUVE AMBIZIONE
what does this signing mean for Juventus?
we have not really talked about it but are juventus entering a new stage in their history? or at least going back to what they were for world football in the eighties when they had the cream of crop in football?
they have entered the no excuse territory, and paying the level of wages only few clubs can afford. they own their stadium, new image rights money is coming.
For the record, CR is now the the 3rd best paid player in the world, still behind Neymar and Messi, he will ask for a new contract next summer though, no doubt

Re: JUVE AMBIZIONE
Yes we definitely enter a new era of our history. And yes he will ask for a raise next season which is part of why i didn't want him at first. For 2-3 years our club will revolve around Cristiano Ronaldo.
Might finally win a CL and everybody including me will celebrate that.
But winning with Ronaldo, the guy whose personality is so far from the J-mentality, will it feel sort of bittersweet ? As if the club betrays his roots for the sake of ambition ? Those are concerns for me but i understand those who are 100% positive, he comes as a savior.

Re: JUVE AMBIZIONE
This is what it means. 12 years ago after having this team:
To going to Serie B, losing many key elements to our team but still remaining a loyal few, losing money, losing image, losing reputation.
To coming up and making a Milan like set of signings. Plagued by mismanagement and disappointment for another several seasons.
2011-12, Conte came into town and signings we made that summer lay the foundation for the current run of success: Pirlo, Vidal, the emergence of Marchisio and Bonucci, Lichtsteiner etc. An undefeated season.
Conte ran Serie A for two more seasons, but suffered from a defeatist attitude in Europe claiming we were not one of the big boys, we had no place. Famously he said that it's like being at a 100 Euro restaurant with 10 Euros. He left.
2014-15. We sign Allegri. Players like Tevez and Morata have replaced the Vucinic and Matri's of the team. We make a CL final. Goodbye Pirlo.
15-16. Goodbye Vidal and Goodbye Marchisio's health. Goodbye Tevez. Hello Dybala and Pog10ba. Overcame a big deficit to win Serie A.
16-17. Goodbye Pogba. Hello Higuain and Pjanic. Hello to another CL final [loss].
17-18. Goodbye Bonucci. Hello Douglas and Bernardeschi. A thrilling season.
18-19. Goodbye Gigi! Hello Ronaldo. We get younger again and we again reach for new heights.
This signing represents more than a decade of work, not all of it good but the last 5 years have been excellent with this capping everything off. We are active in the market every summer, we turnover more key players than any big team but remain competitive. The level that Allegri and Marotta have achieved is excellent and Cristiano only cements their status as Italian's best at what they each do.
What a time to be alive.

Re: JUVE AMBIZIONE
Warrior thinks that Ronaldo doesn't embody a team first, humble, hardworking mentality
Really, it's quite the opposite. I can't think of a player that embodies excellence more than Ronaldo.
Professional in every sense of the word, a true champion, and among the best ever.

Re: JUVE AMBIZIONE
It's hard to wua tidy what the J mentality is... But even as a Juventus fan my entire life, it's a crock of shit.
Any club that has a history of winning domestically and abroad has that same mentality. Players that play with heart and have a winning mentality play for those types of teams. Ergo, Ronaldo has the Juventus mentality on the field. End of.

You've been hyping a nobody like Sergej like he's some second coming of Maradona for the entirety of last season and then you go on to say things like  Cristiano , one of the most dedicated athletes in professional sports history and a serial winner  doesn't have the personality that fits Juventus.... Dude you need to really lay off the hipster kool aid.

Wise words. Dybala should improve a lot this season. Imo he will maintain the form he had when the past season started for much longer.
CR7 - Dybala is the closest thing to CR7-MESSI. The world will be curious to see and they will both deliver. If not then Beppe will sell Dybala next year and sign Messi as simple as that.

It upsets me you're not completely on board with this signing or it does seem like it
And we might have to forget about Sergej for now. He won't make or break us next season. I do rate him but surely he's not €100M good. We sure do need another good CM though, hopefully.

It's good to reminisce and its surreal to see the squad transition season to season in just who is scoring on the field for some of the goals

We'll see if anything really changes. Jjuve have won Serie A for so many times in a row now that keeping that streak going says nothing. Can Ronaldo elevate this team to win the CL? I kinda doubt it.

Re: JUVE AMBIZIONE
I don't even think CR7 is a signing for on the field reasons
all part of them trying to market themselves now, trying to attain the global reach and wealth of the footballing giants like Madrid, United, Barca etc. I mean, we saw that with the logo revamp project which I'd say was a complete flop but IMO this CR7 signing is an extension of that. This is a special case and absolutely not going to be the norm for them going forward, I'd imagine. We won't see them with ambizione every window. I actually think this move will cripple them the next few seasons and they'll end up gutting the squad to accommodate Ronaldo.
Gonna be more Can's, Darmian's and other plebs in the next few windows. Quote me next summer.

Giving verdict on the logo and labelling it as a flop within like 1 year of its re-branding is what a numpty would say...

because both are used to playing besides a striker / target man, or you think that CR once transferred to Juve is automatically a CF ?
