Re: - | Transfer Talk | Rumors | News | -
I wish we weren't replacing Rugani, but Benatia with Godin. If we make these moves we will be making our defense even older.
Barzagli 37
Chiellini 34
Godin 32
Benatia 31
...
Caldara 24
I like having experienced CBs but not 4 of them. This will leave us wanting a younger CB in 2 seasons max. Its going all in for the next 2 seasons while sacrificing the future.
Sell Alex Sandro. He played like shit and we offered him a bigger contract, we signed Ronaldo, we are going for it all, and he STILL seems to want to leave. We have Cancelo anyway. Sell. If a player is this unmotivated to play for Juve then he should not play for us anyway. He needs to have his head straight if he is gonna stay.
A defensive LB would be nice. We arelady have (ultra-) attacking LWs and an attacking RB. Balance is good.

I agree. I'd hope Godin replaces Benatia and not Rugani but wouldn't the arrival of Godin curtail his(Rugani's) playtime even more ?
Godin is the best CB in the world but we have to look towards the future too. Really precarious position to be in right now.

Chelsea are ready to offer Juventus 45m euros (+ bonuses) for Rugani. They have already agreed a 5-year contract with the player, which will see him earn more than double what he is currently being paid at Juventus. #CorTorino
Newcastle, Leicester & West Ham are all interested in signing Stefano Sturaro. Juventus have set their price at 20m. #CorTorino

Still haven't seen Romano or Di Marzio touch a Rugani-exit story, Pedulla isn't Tier 1 for Juventus. I've found that if the sources are not Tier 1, they're not for me
Godin is an opportunity because of his obvious quality and low release clause. Still, I don't see it.
Left back is a great question mark should Alex Sandro leave.

As I've said before we are going to push for a CHL trophy within next 2-3 years.
Our aging defense os nothing to worry about imo as we have never relied on youngsters. That's why Rugani never got to be a full time starter like Bonucci back then despite his mistakes.
We already got Caldara and we are heavily linked with De Ligt. Maybe next year we can invest the needed money on De Ligt.
We already brought Can, Cancelo,Caldara & Spinazzola who are all under 25 year old.
Benatia is already 31 so Godin being 32 is not a problem.Chiellini is 33 and we shouldn't forget Barzagli 2 years ago (at 35) was probably our best defender.
So no big deal if we are pushing for a CHL win imo
Chiellini,Godin,Barzagli,Caldara would be fantastic.
Next year we bring some younger defender to replace Barzagli (Romagnoli , De Ligt or sm else)
The problem is still at our midfield. If we can't afford a 80m player we should search for a cheaper option.
Idk maybe Koke,Strootman etc could be good options.
I do trust Emre Can to be a surprising good deal but there is still a risk.Having to rely on Khedira or even worse Sturaro as backups is not a great feeling.

Idk if we'll stick to Darmian & Spinazzola at LB. The first was benched all the time at ManU (despite being quite good at Torino) and Spinazzola probably can only return for the second part of the season.
Maybe we can adapt Cancelo as LB? If not then we'll have to invest ~30m on better player.
Guerreiro,Telles,Wendell,Bernat...
p.s De Sciglio can play LB right?

Darmian is a right back who can play on the left, just as De Sciglio.
If Alex Sandro were to leave, considering Spinazzola's injury, we would have just 3 fullbacks in Darmian [assuming he's signed], De Sciglio and Cancelo for probably half the season. It might be doable but we'll have to rotate appropriately

Rugani is close to joining Chelsea, the contacts between Fali Ramadani & Fabio Paratici were positive. Chelsea are offering €40m for Daniele, who’s valued at €50m. (Romeo Agresti)
Seems it's indeed happening. If we get €50M for him, we're mugging them off imo. Don't get me wrong, the potential is there but €50M for somebody who'll likely be 3rd or 4th choice next season again is good business. I'd have preferred to keep him though.
Also
Darmian’s agent: “Juventus? We are at a good point.”

$50 million for a player who would be on the bench is great business by Marotta. We can always get another Young Italian to replace him. I’m sure Romagnoli will be available next year once Milan self destructs again.
We are getting more money in our pockets to not only wipe out the Ronaldo transfer fee but we might even have enough for Pogba...

If Rugani is sold it's more demonstrative in the belief in Caldara
50M for Rugani is lunacy, still nothing on main man Di Marzio's end though

Re: - | Transfer Talk | Rumors | News | -
We can get Godin for less than half the $50 million and he would be our legit starter for the next 2 years. A CL victory is all that matters now. Rugani wouldn’t help with that. Godin would be a significant part of our run. Caldara can be the #3 guy and rotate with Godin and Chiellini. And we still have Benatia and Barzagli.
We need another midfielder. Pogba fits the bill. If Darmian comes he’s an adequate replacement for Sandro as Sandro sucked last year. Unless we are loading up for Marcelo. We will see.
Marcelo and Pogba would make us the favourites next year in the CL without question.

Pogba is an impossible dream. I don't think dream can turn into reality for a second time this summer, let's be honest.
I am still hoping we can get another decent midfielder though.

Right, with, at worse being the scenario that we need a CB for depth in January- we also have a changed set of rules for CL registration altering the cup tied rules for winter signings.
There is definitely no Pogback scenario, the premier league's summer window closes August 9 and to replace a player like Pogba requires time.
I think our market is relatively closed.
I see the following taking place:
-Higuain sold
-Pjaca loaned
Question marks:
-Alex Sandro
-Bentancur (loan?)
-Sturaro
Lastly, opportunities, should one arise for a midfielder, we will consider it, or a Godin type of move.

We are out for Golovin
Selling Alex Sandro for 50, to turn around and sign a worse LB for 30M is probably not the best business
Strootman is possible, not sure if he improves us at this point though.

Well Golovin has been waiting for us to negotiate with his club according to rumors.
They ask around 30m while we never offered more than 22m. So asauming we get ~20m from Sturaro's sale to a EPL club we can easily get Golovin who was quite impressive in WC.
Sandro with the poor season he had wont give us more than 50-55m.
It depends who we buy with that 30m. Let's not forget we bought Sandro for even less (~25m i think)
If he doesn't want to stay then we must replace him.
There are plenty of names such Telles,Guerreiro,Wendell,Hetctor,Bernat,Grimaldo etc who are within our reach.
Strootman is quality player no doubt. He's a complete midfielder if fit and injury free one of the best in Serie A. Definetly a big improvement over Khedira and could be a very good option if we can't reach SMS or Pogba.
I'm pretty sure Roma would sell if we offer smth around 40m including bonuses.

Parallel to the Rugani talks, there were the first discussions between Chelsea and Juventus for Higuain. The deal that will take Pipita to Stamford Bridge begins to take shape. [Romeo Agresti]

Strootman has a 35M release clause @juvealbanian. He kind of represents more of what we already have, I was for it last summer and I would be for it if Can wasn't here but now he is and we still have Matuidi, Marchisio, Sturaro, Khedira etc.
The Alex Sandro/New LB idea is a gamble still though. Those names are not that attractive, nor necessarily available at 30M. Essentially, swapping Alex Sandro for one of them is a risk I wouldn't take unless we need to.
Di Marzio had reported that our interest in Golovin ceased when they asked for more money. I think he's Chelsea bound and I'm ok with it

Pjanic dines with his agent Ramadani with a look to the future: Between Chelsea, Barcelona and Juventus

Miralem Pjanic was dining in Milan this evening with his new agent Fali Ramadani. The agent is particularly close in this moment to Chelsea due to his dealings between the club and his other clients. It is not to be excluded that he has explained the plans of new Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri, to Pjanic in the event that he were to leave Juventus. The desire of the bianconeri as well as the player himself, however, are to keep him in Turin, although a renewal of his contract is still unresolved. One possible intention of the agent is to push for a transfer for the Bosnian.

If Pjanic leaves then I think Pogba is a done dealio.
If we get Golovin as well then that would make up for this loss of Pjanic as we could play Can in front of the defense, Pogba on his preferred left side free to roam and Golovin on the right.
I like Pjanic but I like Pogba better.
