WC 2018 | Semi-Finals | France Vs Belgium

Oh well, this feels a bit strange why Belgium lost by jsut the corner. France probably better overall but still, it just feels so Meh. Gonna be more or less neutral now for the remainder of the WC...

As predicted, France had all the answers to Belgium's attack.

Hernandez and Pavard barely crossed the halfway line, so there wasn't space down the sides of the centre backs for Lukaku to use. Their midfield played close to the backline, denying any space for De Bruyne and Hazard to run through. Lukaku was a non-entity since he had no service.

France had to be incredibly hard working and disciplined, but then they have been all tournament. It's possible to do when they have quality like Griezmann and Mbappe in attack.

France the worse team into the final.

The 3 teams left pretty much are more cautious and defensive, which proves once again just how important that is for a WC, defense.

I'll never make fun of Italian football again. We've mastered it.

Ref pissed me off in that game tbh, loads of play acting from the French completely ignored while Belgium players get hacked down and no free kick.

I'm sorry Sports but this French team is disgusting in many ways given the talent and players at the disposal. Mbappe alone in the last minute made me dislike France even more. I am afraid you guys have something like 70% chance of winning this WC..

Germany also used to play this way also until the 2000s. All the NT titles other than WC 2014 came with playing pragmatic football.

Overall this game made me really dislike France tbh. They have the best attack in the world and all they do is park the bus, waste time, and break up the play?

Nope, we had the 2-0 philosophy. The 1-0 one was entirely Italian.

Might not have been great to watch but France did the right thing. Belgium simply didn't know what to do. Didn't create anything while France really should have scored a few more.

Yep. MBappè is slowly starting to get c*nt-ish. Must be that Neymar effect.

That in my opinion was a fabulous game. i would have preferred Belgium, but it was a fair result. IMO, the two best games of tournament were this one and Belgium / Brasil.

Congratulations Sports. it was as easy as you had predicted, but no less the WC is yours. I don’t believe wither of the other two teams are any where near as good as Belgium.

Honestly the inconsistency of the ref annoyed me more than anything France did

He almost cost us that Australia game (he was the ref in that game for us too). He allowed Australia to mug us. I think we got intel on how he refs and used it in this one since we'd seen him in action before.
