Selling Harry Maguire would have been bad business for Leicester, says Claude Puel who jokes it was just "Manchester United making trouble".

Sky Sports News reported last week that United had made an approach to sign the England centre-half, who they valued at £65m, but the Foxes were adamant he would not be sold.

On Wednesday afternoon, SSN revealed that Jose Mourinho's team had cooled their interest and instead had turned their attentions to Barcelona's Yerry Mina.

I don't understand this move. Mina moves to Barca and flops to the point that they want to sell him within his first season. What about this makes United think "Yes! This is our guy!"

To be honest Barca didn't really give Mina the opportunity to succeed. He wasn't bad when given the opportunity, but it can be hard for someone who hasn't played in Europe to come to one of the biggest clubs in the world in January and get regular playing time.

I guess Barca doesn't see Mina fitting their future and are trying to cash in on Mina's performances in WC. For the right price (20M at most for me as mentioned above) I think it can turn out to be a good/great signing, although a really uninspiring one.

Its not 20 though, its 35-40m euros that is being quoted. Insane. Paying this amount of money for a defender with only half a season in europe, who flopped.

Liverpool are close to selling Danny Ings to Crystal Palace for a fee that could reach £24m, according to Read Crystal Palace.

The 26-year-old has scored four goals in three years since signing in 2015, but is still set to make the club a massive profit, after he joined from Burnley for a minimal tribunal fee due to the Bosman ruling.
