I don't get riled up by facts.
Senegal has more wins in 2 world cup appearances than Tunisia and Morocco have combined in 10 appearances.

Re: Africa watch
I wasn't referring to how well the Ivory Coast did, but the fact that they have had players in top leagues, and good ones.
They never made it out of the group stage, but people always thought they probably would, and wanted to avoid them.
Can't say that about many African teams in years gone by

Especially Morocco are the tragic heroes of the World Cup though. Always by far among the livelies and most entertaining teams, with objectively slick and good football, great stuff, and never getting a result, not even a single point, losing everything, everytime

Morocco could have gone far in 1986. But unfortunately for them, it was one of those years where Germany decided not to win their group.

Re: Africa watch
Disappointing performance by African team.
Senegal: Talented team and technical. However drawing with Japan was disappointing, Losing to GLAsia . Also Mane scrubbing and ball hogging against Colombia.
Egypt & Tunisia: Hopefully they don't qualify again until 2026 when they expend it to 48 teams. Losing to Saudi Arabia
Morocco: Played well and had a decent team. Unlucky with being in a group with Portugal and Spain. Wasn't expecting them to advance but they looked good against Spain and Portugal.
Nigeria: Meh wasn't expecting much from a team that starts John Obi Mikel as a CM and Musa.

Need more team with WC grit and steel like Algeria and Ghana if you want to see an Africa in the Knockout Stages.

Re: Africa watch
African teams still seem to be bit weak on the tactical organization and disciple side of things, and overall definitely disappointed.

Re: Africa watch
This is a marginal attack on Africa by Asians! They have gotten 1 team into knockouts on less yellow card and they are bragging!! And that single team will be demolished by Belgium. Don’t really see why Asians can claim any victory here.

Re: Africa watch
Unreal disrespect from GLAsia to Africa. Let's not forget that:
1. Africa has had a team in the last 16 for as long as I can remember, Asia only got in there before through corrupted referees in 2002
2. The only reason that there is an Asian team and not an African team in the L16 is 2 yellow cards
3. Morocco was robbed
4. The African XI >>> Asian XI and it's not close
5. All actual Asians I know (mostly Chinese and Koreans) are actually upset Japan made it through, not exactly a great ambassador for the region
So celebrate away GLAsia, I'm sure this is but a momentary blip that will revert back to normal in the next edition
